GO BEFORE GAS PRICES RISE

Mojave Desert Just South of Primm NV

The summer heat is gone and the torrential rains have given way to the crisp, clean air of fall.  Some of the prettiest venues and best competition happen at this time of year.

If you are in the New York Metro area you will be heading west to the Augusta NJ on Friday to spend three days with the Palisades Kennel Club & the Ramapo Kennel Club, while Mid-Atlantic residents will head to West Friendship MD for the Catonsville Kennel Club & Maryland Kennel Club’s three shows.   Continuing south, there’s two with the Hanover Kennel Club in Wilmington NC and four starting Thursday in Arcadia FL courtesy of the Greater Naples Dog Club & the Greater Venice Florida Dog Club.

After a month of dog show bounty, the Great Lakes Region checks in with one option, the Mad River Valley Kennel Club two shows in Urbana OH.  Look for the Tri-star Kennel Club Of Williamson County, Tennessee two shows in Nashville TN  & the Mason City Kennel Club’s weekend in their Iowa hometown to benefit.

There’s lot’s of options across the Great Plains, the Lawrence Jayhawk Kennel Club in Lawrence KS, the Sooner State Kennel Club in Enid OK & the Tyler Texas Kennel Club in Canton TX  are all hosting traditional two day weekends.  For the second week in a row we have a four show set in New Mexico, the  Sangre De Cristo Kennel Club & the Valencia Valley Kennel Club Of New Mexico quartet in Los Lunas NM.  The fun starts Thursday.

Boise ID will be the site for another four show fun fest with the Lizard Butte Kennel Club & the Idaho Capital City Kennel Club in Charge.  Rounding out our far west options are the Black Mountain Kennel Club Of Nevada duo in Primm NV, on the edge of the Mojave Desert and the Two Cities Kennel Club’s twofer in Yuba City CA north of Sacramento.

There’s no Republican presidential debate this weekend so you have no excuse for not going to an AKC show.  Do it before gas prices go back up.
