TWO MORE BIS

MASSACHUSETTS FRIDAY RESULTS
The Trap Falls Kennel Club asked Theresa Hundt to command the final ring today in West Springfield MA. She had her choice of the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Tender Is The Night, the Whippet, CH Hi Tor Rippleton Romeo, a 10 month old Doberman Pinscher from the puppy dog classes, D's Remember When, who bested the country’s number three dog all breeds, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, in the Working Group. (We can’t wait to see this one!), the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Tibroke's Kissed By A Star, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.
Her Best was the nation’s Number One Toy Dog, the Peke, Malachy. We have it as BIS number eight for Malachy and owner/handler David Fitzpatrick. Malachy is currently the number four dog all breeds. Our top five is starting to tighten up.
HUTCHINSON KC RESULTS
Elliott Weiss had a superlative seven today at the Hutchinson Kennel Club in Valley Center KS. They were the German Short Haired Pointer, CH Fieldfines Pure Gold, the Pharoah Hound Northgate's As You Like It, the Boxer, CH Bravo N Sunset Stealing Time, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Dalriada's Mystic RN, the Shih Tzu, CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Bichon Frise, CH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the Belgian Tervuren, CH Tocara's Touchstone Takoda. His Best In Show was the Country’s Number Two Toy Dog, the Shih Tzu, Austin. That’s all breed BIS number seven for Austin. Look for him to rejoin the top ten all breed.

MERCED CA DAY ONE OF FOUR
The Yosemite Kennel Club’s opener today was a smallish affair packed full of quality dogs. David Krogh’s final featured the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes LifeInTheFastlane, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Soletrader Donald Duck, the Boxer, CH Duba Dae’s Who’s You Daddy, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Char Dar's Merry Manhattan, the Italian Greyhound KC’s Shake Your Groove Thing, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Players Just Like Butter, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Covy-Tucker Hill's Tjr's Marc Flex CD RE HSAdsc. His BIS was the country’s Number Eight Dog All Breeds, the Boxer, Bosco. Credit Bosco and handler Wendy Bettis with six Best In Shows this year.

ROUGHING IT
We have a busy dog show week ahead with 32 all breed shows in 13 different locations. It all starts tomorrow in Merced CA, gateway to one of the world’s most magnificent sites, Yosemite National Park. The Yosemite Kennel Club & Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club will team up for four shows.
Three day weekends are available in West Springfield MA from the Trap Falls Kennel Club, the Troy Kennel Club, & the Great Barrington Kennel Club; in Columbiana AL hosted by the Birmingham Kennel Club, & the Tuscaloosa Kennel Club; in Valley Center KS courtesy of the Hutchinson Kennel Club, the Salina Kennel Club, & Wichita Kennel Club, and in Glendale AZ brought to you by the Kachina Kennel Club & the Arrowhead Kennel Club.
The remaining shows are standard two day affairs with the Piedmont Kennel Club in Charlotte NC, the Greater Orange Park Dog Club in Elkton FL, the Shenandoah Valley Kennel Club, Harrisonburg, VA, the Saginaw Valley Kennel Club in Birch Run MI, the Kennel Club Of Yorkville, Illinois in De Kalb IL (They couldn’t find a site in Yorkvillle?), the Terry-all Kennel Club in Brighton CO, the San Jacinto Kennel Club in Crosby TX, and the Timberland Valley Dog Fanciers Association in Centralia WA. Where ever you are in the US you can make it to a dog show this weekend. Why not visit one of the shows in Merced and then have a cocktail at the Ahwahnee? It’s as close to roughing it as we get.

Our final report of the day comes from Albany OR where the Chintimini Kennel Club had Judith Goodin do Best In Show on Sunday. She considered the Welsh Springer Spaniel, CH Rolyart's Full Of Grace JH, the Whippet, CH Starline's Chanel, the Akita, CH MoJo's Rock'n Your World, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Trugrip One Singular Sensation, the Pug, CH Winsome's Trouble At Coral Bay, the Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Lakeridge Summer In Hamptons, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Avalons Frontier Sleepnlady Webber. Her Best was the nation’s Number One Hound and Number Six Dog All Breeds, the Whippet, Chanel. We have it as the sixth BIS this year for Chanel and handler Lori Wilson.
SUNDAY IN BAKERSFIELD CA
It was Honey Glendinning doing BIS at the Kern County Kennel Club in Bakersfireld CA Sunday. Her seven hopefuls were the Irish Water Spaniel, CH Poole's Ide Bonnie Brook, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Flashdance Roan Inish, the Boxer CH Duba-Dae's Who's Your Daddy, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Fortuna De Aiedkii's, the Havanese, CH Bellatak McDreamy, the Keeshond, CH Summerwinds's Silcilian Delight RN NAJ, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Cottonwood Pretty In Pink. She chose the four year old OES bitch, Andi. We believe this is not only her first BIS this year, but her first group. Congratulations to breeders/owners Diana & Robert Caswell.
SILVER STATE KC
On Saturday in Las Vegas Muriel Purkhiser opened the two day set for the Silver State Kennel Club with the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes LifeInTheFastlane, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Desert Dune At Curiann, the Boxer, CH R And G's Mystical Dancer, the Welsh Terrier, CH Bayleigh Shaireab's Super Hero, the Silky Terrier, CH My Royal Rebel Hans Solo, the Standard Poodle, CH Penndrangon Masaniello, and the Australian Cattle Dog, CH Carben Copy's If The Shoe Fits. The big rosette went to the Welsh Terrier, Spyder, his third this year and his second in the last week.
Sunday, Spyder, the Weimaraner, & the big Poodle, were all back to see Joan Luna. They were accompanied by the Pharaoh Hound, CH Shalimar Mercury Rising, the Newfoundland, Fairweather’s Quick Around The World, the Shih Tzu, CH Xetrlane’s Face The Music, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Asgard Harley Davidson V Plamark PT. It was a Sporting Sunday, with the not yet two year old Weimaraner, taking home the BIS, his first this year. Congratulations to breeders/owners Bruce & Cindy Cassidy and handler Keith Pautz. BRAZOS VLLEY KC
We only gave you a glimpse of the Brazos Valley Kennel Club‘s two shows in Navasota TX this weekend, telling you that the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Dalriada Mystic, was Richard Paquette’s BIS on Saturday. We can now tell you that the English Setter, CH Honeygait Wilsonlake On The Rocks, the Pharaoh Hound, Northgates As You Like It, the Akita, Stardust See You At The Show, the Maltese, CH Rhapsody's Regarding Henry, the Bichon Frise, CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Heart Of Gold Power Play, were all in the hunt as well.
On Sunday, it was Paula Hartinger with the same Pharaoh Hound, Wire Fox, Maltese, Bichon, & Corgi and the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Aspendell's Pale Rider JH, and the Akita, CH Cas Cobo Haul Eudora. Her pick for Best was the GWP, Lilly. Congratulations to breeders Robert Perry, Sean Ferraro-Perry, A McClure, owners Betsy Watkins, Sean Ferraro-Perry & Robert Perry, and handler Karen Newman.
OKLAHOMA RESULTS
The Claremore Kennel Club Of Oklahoma held two shows in their hometwon this weekend. On Saturday it was the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Fieldfines Pure Gold, the 15” Beagle, CH Shadynook McDreamy At RK N'Tooker, the Boxer, CH Aracrest Marksman, the Norwich Terrier, CH Skyscots Poker Chip, the Pug, CH Aramis Smokin Gun, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyang Chick Magnet At Asia, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Twin Roc Santa Paws HICs, vying for Edweena Mc Dowell’s attention. She chose the three year old Corgi. It was his fist BIS of the year. Congratulations to breeders Paul C & Doris J Slaboda and owners Dina Planche, Paula O'Donnell & Cindy Bossi.
Sunday Houston Clark saw the same Beagle, the Golden Retriever, CH Owlings Ring Of Fire, the Mastiff, CH Lazy Ds Bonnie Blu, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Ridgmars Diamond In The Ruff, the Pug, CH T Stars Spindle Top, the Standard Poodle, Bar None Good To Go, and the Beauceron, CH Dillinger Du Chateau Rocher.
