SPRINGER BIS IN DENVER

Our last report this morning comes in from Denver CO and Sunday’s Terry-All Kennel Club show. Judge Karin Ashe had the last call, considering the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Foxboro N Shardust Authentic, the Norwegian Elkhound, CH Aspens It Takes A Thief, the Akita, GCH CH Stardust's See You At The Show RN, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH First Class Willow Wind The Phoenix, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Miletree Carnival, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Dreamland’s Wanna Be A Billionaire, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Copperridge What's Your Dream.

Finishing one/two were the Springer, Maddox, and the Aussie, Vivian. It was the first BIS in five trips to the final ring this year for Maddox. Congratulations to breeder/owner Susan Still, owners Ellen Charles & Sharleen Perreira, and handler Lynda O'Connor-Schneider.

The Pomeranian, GCH CH Hitimes What The Inferno, renewed his pursuit of the Number One Toy Dog with a BIS at Sunday’s Austin (TX) Kennel Club show.

Joining Danny and handler Curtiss Smith in Bonnie Linnell-Clarke’s final were the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Breakaway’s Stevedore, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Farao Anubis Inferno SC, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Suphan’s Mr. Goodness, the Standard Manchester Terrier, GCH CH Wilane’s Midnight Rydor, her RBIS, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH R-Lee Sparkle Plenty, and the Border Collie, GCH CH F Si A Ge Of Fu You Yuam Kennel. 

Danny now has five BIS and 13 Toy Groups and trails the Toy Group leader by about 1500 points.

Day four in Grove OK found judge David Bolus in the final ring with the Parti-Colored Cocker Spaniel, CH Monthaven’s The Bird Cage, the Whippet, GCH CH Bretica’s Gotcha By The Jewel, the Doberman, CH Philmar Superman, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Broxden Accidentally On Porpose, the Brussels Griffon, CH Fist Face A Penny For Your Thought, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Mika Itemized Deduction Liswyn.

Taking home the Sunday Northeast Okalhoma Kennel Club BIS was the Doberman, Clark. Packing up the RBIS was the Whippet, Jewel. It’s the first BIS for three year old Clark. Congratulations to breeders Philip M Martin & Cheryl Green, owner Tim Stone, and handler Cynthia Lane Smith.

CH Char’s Seattle Slew For Triple Crown 

Judge Terri Lyddon was in Crown Point IN for Sunday’s Steel City kennel Club final. The seven dogs she considered were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summits Back By Popular Demand, the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH Daybreak’s Bewitching Blossom W, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Gamegard I’ll Have Another At Braeside, the Dandie Dinmont, GCH CH King’s Mtn. Angelina Ballerina, the Pomeranian, CH Char’s Seattle Slew For Triple Crown, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Cher Ami’s Toast With Remy Martin, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables The Frat Boy.

Her Best was the Pom, Huey. Getting the Reserve was the Dachshund, Zoe. It’s the first BIS in two final appearances for Huey this year. Congratulations to breeder/owner Charlotte Meyer, owner Michele Lyons, handler Lynn Meyer.

WHIPPET BIS IN HARRISBURG

We begin our Monday Morning Mop Up in Harrisburg PA where the Mason and Dixon Kennel Club closed the big four day weekend in Harrisburg PA. Dr Robert Indeglia had the final final and his pick of the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Telltale American Ride, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Akita, GCH CH CR-Wicca’s Trade Secret, the Irish Terrier, CH Red Devil’s Irish, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH By Request Bon Mot, and the Briard, GCH CH Deja Vu Mia Cool as a Cucumber.

Taking home the last big rosette of the stop was the Whippet, Brazen. Getting her second RBIS of the set was the MinPin, Classie. Brazen has two BIS and 14 Hound Groups so far this year.

BACK2BACK OES BIS IN SACRAMENTO

The Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo's Picture Perfect, kept up his pursuit of the Number One Dog, with his second consecutive BIS today. His latest win came at the Sacramento Kennel Club under judge Ken Murray.

Challenging for the win were the Brittany, CH Sanbar's Ride The Winds, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Topsfield-Sanchu Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, judge Murray’s RBIS, the Standard Schnauzer, CH Ogee Saltus Ze Zahrabske, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Hjohoo's Save Hjour Love For Me, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Forestcreek Louisiana Laginappe, and the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow. 

Swagger ends the weekend with 21 BIS and 42 Herding Groups year to date, a little less than 7000 points behind the Number One Dog.

ENCORE FOR IRISH SETTER IN WA

On Saturday the Irish Setter, CH Chamberlaynes Mutiny O' Captiva, picked up his first career BIS and followed it with another at today’s Ephrata-Moses Lake Kennel Club in Moses Lake WA.

Joining Colin in judge Nancy Popovich’s final were her RBIS, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Polo's Air Force One, the Akita GCH Mojo's Continuation Of A Myth, the Miniature Bull Terrier GCH Cambria's Kid N Play, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH Quartzite Apollo, the Keeshond, CH Skyline's Chemin De Fer, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Windcrest Gun Powder And Lead. 

At five years old, Colin is at the top of his game. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for him.

The first of our Sunday show reports comes in from Warwick RI where the Rhode Island Kennel Club show wrapped a two day stop. The seven who stayed to the end to see judge William deVillanueve were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Pebwin Hocus Pocus, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Soonipi Friends In Low Places MLH, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Raindance Led Zeppelin Of Marquis, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Caledonian Tea Time Of Wolfpit, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Tres Beau Going My Way, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical's My Turn.

Accepting his second BIS of the set was the Chihuahua, Sonnito. The Beardie, Turner. Took home the RBIS. The win brings Sonnito’s 2014 resume to eight BIS and 14 Toy Groups.  Six of the BIS and ten of the group ones have come in the last six weeks.

One of the season’s most prestigious titles is the Harrisburg Kennel Club Best In Show. The seven dogs hoping to capture the award on Saturday were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Telltale American Ride, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Samoyed, GCH CH Pebbles' Run Play It Again Ham, the Sealyham Terrier, GCH CH Efbe’s Thunder Rd at Burberry, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Bellefleet’s Living In The Fast Lane, and the Puli, GCH CH Wallbanger Fringe.

Adding the big rosette to his trophy wall was the Sammie, Bogey. Taking home the Reserve award was the MinPin, Classie. Bogey has had a very good month, picking up all three of his BIS and all four of his Working Group Firsts during the last 20 days.

The week’s largest prize was Saturday’s Atlanta Kennel Club show. The seven dogs topping the 2200 dog entry were the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Ashdown's Time To Thrill, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtins Looking For Trouble, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the West Highland White Terrier, GCH CH Tullybloom’s Classified Credentials, the Pomeranian, CH Starfire’s Spank Me Hard Call Me Crazy, the Finnish Spitz, GCH CH Marblehill’s Gleaming Icecaps, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has it V Kenlyn.

Judge Elliot Weiss, like 34 others this year, named the Portie, Matisse, his BIS. The GSD, Rumor went home with his second RBIS of the stop. Matisse goes home with all three of the big rosettes from this year's Peach Blossom Cluster, continuing a record setting pace with better than 45,000 points less than a third through the year.
