GREATER DAYTONA DFA

The youngest of the Wheeler canine herd is our Italian Greyhound, Pepe. So we are delighted to report a BIS by an IG. The win came on May 16TH in Deland FL at the day one show of the Greater Daytona Dog Fanciers Association show. GCH CH Marchwind Barbara Ann was judge Marcia Tucker’s Best In Show and the Saluki, GCH CH Baha Persian Of Interest CD RN SC OA MXJ NF, was her Reserve. Rounding out Saturday’s seven were the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Justa Swingin Rumwood's Needles N Pins, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Russian Bears Not Just Another Rock Starr, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Brynnmawr 'N Seaplume's Built Tough, the Boston Terrier, CH Johnlee’s Journey of Dreams, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Sylvan Argent Hollywood And Vine.

Barbara Ann is the nation’s Number One Italian Greyhound and Number Eight Toy Dog with two BIS in four trips to the final ring this year.

The BRT and Welsh Terrier would be the only of Saturday’s finalists to make it to judge Rodney Merry’s BIS ring on Sunday. Joining them were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH My Buddy’s Eye of the Beholder RA NA, the Whippet, GCH CH Karasar’s Masterpiece, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Just Be Sirius!, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Clarion Karadale Better Together, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s Magical Meemie CGCA.

Taking the BIS was the Welsh, Ford. Collecting the RBIS was the Whippet, Juliet. It was the first BIS this year for Ford. Congratulations to breeder Kathleen Rost, owners Caryn Stevens & Matt O'Farrell, and handler Klayton A Harris.
