We’re at the midway point in Raleigh NC, with today’s Durham Kennel Club show, the third of this week’s five shows. Thora Brown had the final and her pick of the Irish Setter, GCH CH Militza’s Cherie Amour, the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Bayaway Jersey’s Due Process of Law, the Boxer, GCH CH Mephisto’s Speak of the Devil, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsand’s Billie Jean CA, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), the Bulldog, GCH CH Imperious HamItUp Southern Bell, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It v Kenlyn.

Going to the head of the line was the Setter, Adele, followed by the RBIS, the Boxer, Devlin. It was the third BIS in six final appearances this year for Adele and handler Ken Wall. All three BIS have come within the last week. Adele has a lot of ground to make up, but we suspect she will be in among the top Sporting Dogs this season.
