BRAZOS VALLEY KENNEL CLUB

We had two dogs win their first BIS of the year this weekend at the Brazos Valley Kennel Club’s two shows in Navasota TX. On Saturday judge Sonny Ambrosio named the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Promenade Ring O Fire, his top dog.

 Also asking for consideration were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Emery’s White Out, the Saluki, GCH CH Appalachia's Allamyrra Hajji, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Dotcom’s Boardwalk Alcala, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Overtop Niort, and the RBIS, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Just a Little Crush. 

Ringo becomes just the second Smooth Coat Chihuahua to win a BIS this year and just the third to win a Toy Group this year. Congratulations to breeder/owner Linda Hughes and handler Brooke Young.

Sunday judge Frank Washabaugh would see the same Golden, Saluki, Swissie, & Corgi along with Wire Fox Terrier, Fyrewyre Spiffy, the Pug, GCH CH Bookmark’s Uncommonly Good, and the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Sundancer Foxy Lady. GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto He would name the Saluki, Hajji, his Best and the Swissie, Gus, as his Reserve.

It was the first of the year for Hajji, who finished 2014 with two BIS and 23 Hound Groups. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Gerry Thornton, co-breeder Marinell McCowen & and owner Pamela Jane Arwood.
