The Blackhawk Kennel Club opened the long weekend in Chicago
on Friday, putting judge Douglas Johnson in the final ring. His seven hopefuls were the Chesapeake Bay
Retriever, GCH CH Albriden’s The Show Must Go On, the Greyhound, GCH CH
GrandCru Giaconda, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Lusitano Oceano
Atlantico, the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, GCH CH King’s Mtn Angelina Ballerina,
the Pomeranian, GCH CH Char’s Seattle Slew For Triple Crown, the Bichon Frise,
GCH CH Barberry’s Take A Chance On Me, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH
Riverside Telltale Coco Posh.

It was the Greyhound, Gia, galloping to the BIS and the
Chessie retrieving the RBIS. It was the
first for Gia and breeder/owner/handler Rindi Gaudet. Congratulations to Rindi, breeders/owners
Melanie Steel & Rose Tomlin, and owner Amy Phelan.
