GCH CH R-Lee Sparkle Plenty

Half way through the year we are still seeing first time BIS winners, testament to the seemingly unlimited talent amongst the breeders of AKC registered dogs. This weekend, in Abilene TX, we saw three different dogs score their first BIS of 2014. Friday it was the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH R-Lee Sparkle Plenty, who impressed judge Cheryl Myers-Egerton.

CH Grace Acre Almost Persuaded

Joining Sparkle in the final ring were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Ehrenvogel Achy Breaky Heart, the Whippet, CH Debmar Dixie Lovin’, the Doberman Pinscher,CH Van Orman’s I Want It All, the Norwich Terrier, CH Birchbay’s Wild Side at Belfyre, the Reserve winner, the Long Coat Chihuahua, CH Grace Acre Almost Persuaded, and the Border Collie, GCH CH F Si A Ge Of Fu You Yuan Kennel.

The win brings Sparkle’s 2014 record to one BIS and eight Non-Sporting groups. Congratulations to breeder Pat Zimmel-Roach and owners Lee & Deena Harvey.

CH Van Orman’s I Want It All

On Saturday judge Mark Houston-McMillan chose the returning Doberman, Chazz, as his Best In Show. Judge Houston McMillan also liked the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, whom he gave the RBIS. Rounding out the final were the aforementioned GSP, Cyrus, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Explicit’s Full Throttle to Alpine, the Shih Tzu, CH Zephyr Monogram Maybe Marilyn, the Sparkle the Shar-Pei, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH BGCH Heidelberg’s Austin V Melissa.
