The temperatures in Grayslake IL are among the coldest in the country, but the competition at yesterday’s Park Shore Kennel Club show was heated.  The Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts On Fire, was judge Elliot Weiss’s Best In Show.

Judge Weiss chose Flame out of a seven that included the Labrador Retriever, Acornoaks Hide The Loot, his Reserve winner, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Cambria’s Vraiment Parfait, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the King Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH LTO Prosperity, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Margaux’s Va-Voom.

It’s the first BIS of the year for Flame, who finished 2013 as the Number Four Non-Sporting Dog with nine BIS and 66 Non-Sporting Groups.  Congratulations breeder/owner Linda Campbell and handler Sarah Perchick.
