THREE WEEKENDS IN OHIO



GCH CH Aberdeen’s Under the Influence

This afternoon we have three weeks of results from the state of Ohio.   First we go to Columbus OH where the Median Kennel Club’s and the Central Ohio Kennel Club’s shows on April 20th and 21st.

The MKC was up first and they ended the day with Victoria Jordan in the final ring with the Irish Water Spaniel, Poole's Ide Reversal of Fortune. The Otterhound, GCH CH Aberdeen’s Under the Influence, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Sailaway Root Beer Float, the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlake Pants On Fire, the Havanese, GCH CH Yup's Malibu Dream, the Keeshond, GCH CH Daimler's Caviar Dreams, and the Old English Sheepdog, Wynward's Gotta Love That.

Her Best was the Otterhound, DUI (pronounced Dew‘ee).  Her Reserve was the Border Terrier, Cinder.  It’s the first BIS year for Dui and breeder/owner/handler Jason McIlwaine.  We don’t get to congratulate Otterhound breeders, owners, & handlers on BIS wins too often, so we are delighted to congratulate  Jason, and his fellow breeders/owners Jack & Andy McIlwaine.

Sunday’s Central Ohio KC final was in the hands of Ronald Hilliard.  His seven options were the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Trinity's Tucked Under His Wing, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queens Amada SL, the Newfoundland, CH Mermaids Pride First Time Offender, the Border Terrier, Cinders, the Italian Greyhound, GCH CH GDM Zenyatta At Lakeside, the above named Keeshond, and the Border Collie, CH Wildfire The Intangible One.

Judge Hilliard’s BIS was the Cocker and his RBIS was the Newfoundland.  It was the first BIS for the two year old dog, who was this year’s BOV at the Westminster Kennel Club show.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Susan Gray & Stacy Dobmeier and co-breeder Cheryl Wittlinger.

The following weekend Ohio exhibitors were in Eaton OH for the Fort Saint Clair Kennel Club’s two shows.  Sari Brewster Tietjen had the day one final and the company of the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Nexus Dark Horse, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Gemdach Don't Blame Me, the Doberman Pinscher, Kinetic Cindy Lou Who, the aforementioned Havanese, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck The Halls, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Stonepillar's Steel Blu.

Taking the top two prizes were the Shar-Pei, and the Dachshund.  It’s the first BIS this year for the Shar-Pei, Tinsel, and it will put her in a dead heat for Number. One Shar-Pei

Dr Richard Meen had Sunday’s closer and his pick of the Weimaraner, GCH CH Doc N Camelot's Heaven Can Wait, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Devlon's Fame And Fortune, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Camio's Educated Exemplar, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Stillmeadow Solo In The Spotlight, the Shar-Pei, Tinsel, and the previously seen Bouvier.

Judge Meen would like the Bouvier, Blue, as his Best and the Norwich, Eddie.  It’s the first BIS this year for a Bouvier and makes Blue the breed’s top dog.

GCH CH Ocoee Dsqd With A Vengeance

This past weekend the action in Ohio was in Bucyrus OH with the Crawford County Kennel Club.  The first BIS/RBIS was chosen by judge Ruth Zimmerman.  Her seven possibilities were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Ocoee Dsqd With A Vengeance, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Gemdach Don’t Blame Me, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Mi-Ti's Mayhem, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Jay-Roy Byrne 'N Hot For You, the Pug, CH Double D's Kit-N-Ca Boo-Dle, the French Bulldog, CH Gypsy Canyon Bubbling Romance With Gargoyle, and the Bouvier, Blue.

Her Best was the Springer, George, and her Reserve was the Frenchie, Korbel.  It’s the second BIS for George who is always breeder/owner handled by Melanie Kin.  Congratulations to Melanie,  co-breeders Corinne Johnson & J & E Johnson, and co-owners Kathy Lorentzen, B.A. Breese and Liz Kiener.

GCH CH Goldsands Columbus

Last Sunday’s Crawford County KC final fell to Fred Bassett who greeted the Springer, George, the Gemdach Dachshund, the Samoyed, CH White Eagle's Full Moon Rising On Alpine Glo, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Pomeranian, Canton Jet Li, the Shar-Pei, tinsel, and the Bouvier, Blue.  His BIS was the Russell, Bosse.  His RBIS went to George, the Springer.  Bosse is the only Russell to win an AKC BIS.  He is the Number One Russell, the Number Two Terrier, and the Number Seven Dog All Breeds.
