Because of the hiatus necessitated by our daughter’s wedding this past week, we are well behind in our show reports.  Never fear, we will bring all the results to you, but expect our Monday Morning Mop Up this week to stretch over the next few days.   For those who want a quick look at how our Top Ten Dogs All Breeds fared check out our Back Story column today on Best In Show Daily.  We will have that up by noon CST.

We do want to tell you that three of our Top Ten were in Kalamazoo MI for a four day set hosted by the Pontiac Kennel Club, the Greater Muskegon Kennel Club, the Kalamazoo Kennel Club, & the Grand Rapids Kennel Club.  You can read about Thursday’s PKC here.

Friday’s GMKC final found John Connolly choosing his top two from the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Whippet, GCH CH Kamada’s New York Minute, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldands Columbus, the Pug, GCH CH Hill country Tag I’m It, the standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Wyndlair Cherokee Vindication.

Finishing one/two were the black Standard Poodle, London, and the precocious Pug, JJ.  The Country’s Number Eight Dog All Breeds now has 34 BIS on the year.

Six of Friday’s finalists would be back on Saturday to see Dr Steve Keating, with his lone newcomer being the Otter Hound, GCH CH Aberdeen’s Under The Influence.   He would make the Poodle, London, his Reserve, and the nation’s Number One Dog, the GWP, Oakley, his Best In Show.

Oakley would also be Carl Leipmann’s BIS at Sunday’s GRKC.  Judge also like the previously named Doberman, FiFi, whom he named RBIS.  Rounding the closing final were the above named Russell, Pug, & Standard Poodle, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundelben Queen’s Armada, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Quiche’s Grand Finale.

These two BIS, Oakley’s 62nd & 63rd of the year, will increase his lead slightly over the Number Two Dog.

    1. Thanks for that info. It's important that we include the names of the photographers. They're every nit as much a part of this sport as the breeders, owners, & handlers.

    2. Kelly is a Pug breeder-owner-handler as well, so I'm sure she appreciates the recognition.
