GCH CH  Mt View’s Silver Charm

The Numbers One and Two Dogs All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH  Mt View’s Silver Charm, and the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, were in Savannah GA yesterday, going one/two in Houston Clark’s Sporting Group at the Savannah Kennel Club show.  The GWP, Oakley, would  finish the day with the BIS rosette and head for Yuma AZ for today’s Yuma Kennel Club show.

Today with the Springer, Peyton, would join Oakley in Gary Anderson’s Sporting Group and the result would be the same as the day before.  Peyton would take the Number Two spot and Oakley would advance to Barbara Dempsey Alderman’s final.  There Oakley would be challenged by six multiple BIS winners two of which hold Top Ten rankings, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Number Seven Dog All Breeds, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Number Four Dog All Breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, the Pekingese, GCH CH Windemere’s Dusting of White at Pevyne, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Hatch Tillie de la Salsa.

They finished by rank with Oakley taking the BIS, and the Wire, Sky, taking the RBIS.  Oakley’s 70th BIS of the year brings his career total to 77 and increases his lead over Peyton to about 2800 points.  Remember there will be over 13,000 points up for grabs in Orlando.

  1. Over 13,000 points available in Orlando, but will the GWP and Springer actually be vying for those points?? I suppose we might see them on Wednesday since it's the only game in town, but will they really stay for the AKC show when it's a two day event and they could be competing for 2 shots at bis's in OH or PA?? I would think not, as it wouldn't be wise in the numbers game, but I also believe this is a reason why the AKC show should be held on a weekend by itself and not compete with other clubs. Just my two cents.
