We are going to head out West to our former neighborhood in the San Francisco Bay area for our next report.  The Sir Francis Drake Kennel Club has more than the prestigious name going for it.  It was this weekend’s largest draw with nearly 3000 entries for the two days in Vallejo CA.

On Saturday the seven dogs hoping to persuade Michael Dachel to give them all those points were the  English Setter, GCH CH Oakley’s B’Dazzled, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Vin-Melca’s The Norseman, the Boxer, GCH CH R and G’s Mystical Dancer, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Friendship Hill Stars And Stripes, the Brussels Griffon, CH Paragons Sharp Dressed Man At Greengates, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Sunclipse Mystique, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Allure At Wyndstar.

The dog getting the points was the Corgi, Allie.  The dog getting the Reserve ribbon was the Griff, Sharpie.  Allie is the country’s Number One  Pembroke Welsh Corgi with six BIS this year, two in the last four weeks.

Sunday Allie and her fellow Saturday finalists, the English Setter, Dazzle, & the Boxer, Danny,  made it back to see Sheila Polk along with the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Rockledge McCallen of Meath, the Pekingese, GCH CH Widemere Dusting of White at Pevyne, and the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Pendragon Owain.
