If you were at a dog show in New England this weekend, you were probably talking about the weather. However, the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club managed to get their show completed ahead of the worst of the weather.
Cheryl Myers-Egerton’s final seven were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Homesteader’s Star Burst JH, the Whippet, CH Shamasan Island of Imagination, the Akita, GCH Hikay’s Witch With Attitude, the Lakeland Terrier. GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Foxworth Follow Me Boys, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Bella Ridge Imperiale Shady Harbor Mafia Campcovo, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH Nchanted Silk Lining.
Her Reserve went to the Frenchie, Mafia and the points and BIS went to the Lakeland, Spot. Spot is the Number One Lakeland and the Number Three Terrier with 12 BIS & 47 Terrier Groups.

Spot would be one of would be finalists at Sunday’s Cheshire Kennel Club show in Keene NH. Only five others would finish their respective groups before show officials evacuated the show grounds because of flooding and lightening strikes rendered Wheelock Park dangerous.
The five other dogs collecting Group wins were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Skypoint’s Our Ri ver Runs Free, the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Brackenshire Scotch N Ice, the Doberman Pinscher, Dabney’s El Pistolero AKA Contador, the above mentioned Pom, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Ti Nan’og The Legend of Banzai Maguire. We would like to recognize all those who made the decision to put the safety of exhibitors and spectators first.
The safety of the exhibitors, spectators, volunteers, judges and dogs far outweigh any rosettes.
