FOUR IN BLOOMINGTON IL

We are still working our way through the four show clusters from this past week.  In the Midwest the place to be was Bloomington IL where the Illinois Valley Kennel Club Of Peoria & the Corn Belt Kennel Club teamed up for four shows.  First up on Friday was the IVKCP with Marilyn Spacht in the final ring with the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet creek’s Windfall, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Blackhawk Finnegans Wake, the Miniature Bull Terrier, CH Cambrias Kid N Play, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Carousel N Southdown Never More, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Barnstorms Grissom TTCSI, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Daybar Blew By U. 

Day one went to the three year old Toy Spaniel.  It’s his first.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Geri Roy, co-breeders Dana Hopkins & Julie Virosteck, owner Bruce Van Deman, and handler Mark Desrosiers.

On Saturday Diana Norman chose from the above named Cocker, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Samoyed, GCH CH Tobils Storm Warning At Sunrise, the Colored Bull Terrier, Rocky Tops Outlaw Kid, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH LTO Prosperity, the aforementioned Tibetan Terrier, and the Belgian Sheepdog, GCH CH Sans Brancos Stunned At Kindred RN CGC.    Beckham is the winningest Cocker of all time, now with 110 career BIS.   This  win brings Beckham’s BIS total this year to 19.

Sunday Denny Mounce preferred Beckham to the above named Harrier, the Akita, GCH CH Buckridges No Doubt About It, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Snt S Secret Weapon, yet another English Toy Spaniel, the Blenheim & Price Charles GCH CH Loujon Thornwood Little Jacob, the aforementioned Tibetan Terrier, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Serenitys Walk In The Park.  Her Best was the Harrier, Chet.  It's the sixth this year for one of AKC's rarest breeds

Monday would find Merle Taylor in the final ring for the CBKC’s day two show.  The seven dogs that joined him were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summits Emery Its In The Bag, the now familiar Harrier, the Boxer, CH Adellinis Nantess Look At Mimi, the AmStaff from Sunday, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Chars Secret Obsession, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Carlyns King Of The Beasts, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Bon Clydes Pistol Pete Of Nahrof.  His Best was the Pom, Calvin.  It’s the first this year for the three year old dog.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Charlotte Meyer, owner Mona Lisa Pardes, and handler Lynn Meyer.
