The Presidents Day holiday has delayed our usual Monday Morning Mop Up, but we do have some results for your.  First, from our nominee for dog club with the most unusual name, the First Company Governor's Foot Guard Athletic Association, we have this.  Sunday’s final in Hartford CT was called by Dr Daniel Dowling. His options were the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Kenny’s Rock Star, the Pharaoh Hound, DC Hallaham’s Ethan Allen MC, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Tempet’s M.O. Quinsigamond RN, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Kimro’s Dora The Explorer, the Schipperke, GCH CH De LaMer Point Break, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Tir Nan Og The Legend Of Banzai Maguire.

It was the second BIS of the weekend and the second of the year for the Lakeland, Spot.  This Westminster breed winner is certainly riding the crest of the Westminster Wave.

  1. Actually the First Company Governor's Foot Guard Athletic Association is not a dog club. They are a military association. I think they are the only non dog club that AKC allows to hold a show. The Governor's Footguard Guys dress in various military dress uniforms. It makes for a cool win picture.
