Philadelphia's Independence Hall
We don’t have all the results in yet from this past weekend, but we want to get you looking at this coming week, one of our busiest in a while.
For those of you haven’t had your 15 minutes of fame yet, head to the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia PA on Thursday, where the Penn Treaty Kennel Club, the Greater Philadelphia Dog Fanciers Association, & the Kennel Club Of Philadelphia will treat you to four days of all breed shows. Even better, if you win the breed at Saturday’s KCP event, you will be seen on TV in millions of American homes on Thanksgiving Day.
If you can’t make it to Philadelphia, you still will have lots of opportunities to spend multiple days indulging your dog show appetite. In upstate New York you can get three days in Syracuse with the Chenango Valley Kennel Club, the Central New York Kennel Club, & the Del-Otse-Nango Kennel Club. Our Mid-Atlantic offering this week is in Concord NC where the Carolina Terrier Association will do a limited breed warm up for the Salisbury North Carolina Kennel Club, the Greater Monroe Kennel Club, & the Fayetteville Kennel Club. Down in Ocala FL the Seminole Dog Fanciers Association & the Greater Ocala Dog Club, will team for four shows starting Thursday.
Our Great Lakes offerings this week are in Columbus OH where the Sandusky Kennel Club, the Dayton Kennel Club, the Lima Kennel Club, & the Central Ohio Kennel Club will set up on Thursday and in Shakopee MN for a weekend with the Minneapolis Kennel Club. Fanciers in the Great Plains States will have lots of options choosing from two days in Lincoln NE with the Council Bluffs Kennel Club, four days in Chickasha OK with the Canadian Valley Kennel Club & the Town And Country Kennel Club, and two days in Houston TX with the Brazoria Kennel Club.
We have a full schedule out west where we will stay another four days in Tucson AZ, this time with the Tucson Kennel Club & the Greater Sierra Vista Kennel Club. There is action up & down the West Coast including three days in Paso Robles CA starting Friday with the San Luis Obispo Kennel Club & the Santa Maria Kennel Club, four days in Roseburg OR with the Umpqua Kennel Club & the Rogue Valley Kennel Club, and a traditional two day weekend in Monroe WA hosted by the Whidbey Island Kennel Club.
Have a great doggy week before the relatives descend upon you for the Thanksgiving Holiday and if you are showing in Philadelphia, buy a TV friendly outfit and hope for a breed win. Please, no short skirts, plaid jackets, or DayGlo ties. People will have just eaten.

Love that last paragraph, very cute! hehe
ReplyDeleteAlso, this coming weekend, the National Shiba Club of America National Specialty in Ft. Mitchell, KY on Saturday, November 19th. Getting ready now to leave tomorrow, I'll send you a photo of the Breed winner if I can!
ReplyDeleteJust because you win breed in Philadelphia this weekend does not mean you have a (proper) chance to be on tv. Remind me to have a little word with whomever edits the show....
ReplyDeleteThe Chicagoland Hound Show is this weekend in Melrose Park, IL.
