FLAGSTAFF KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Tamarin Top Banana

One spot we had not heard from this week was Flagstaff AZ where fanciers got to check out the Grand Champions in Grand Canyon country.  On Saturday the seven who survived to see BIS judge Michael Forte were the Welsh Springer Spaniel, CH Clussex Royalart’s Payola, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Lorien Dell’s Sword of Ellendil, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Dalriada’s Mystic, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Tamarin Top Banana, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Margem’s Just Fine ‘N Dandy.

Best was the Affenpinscher, Topper.   Topper, the Number Five Toy Dog, has gathered four all breed BIS and a very impressive 21 Toy Group Firsts this year.

Sunday, Topper and the aforementioned Whippet & Wire Fox would be back to pleas their case with judge Dr Carol White-Moser.  Joining the fun were the English Setter, GCH CH SevenOaks Footprints on the Moon, the Great Dane, GCH CH Shoreline East-West Play It Again Sam, the Xoloitzcuintli, CH Shida Mighty Joe Young, and the Smooth Collie, CH Traveler’s Pierce Arrow.

It would be the Whippet, Cha Cha, picking up her luck 13th BIS of the year.  Will it be good enough to keep her in the Top Ten Dogs All Breeds?  Check back with us mid week to see.
