NATIONAL SPECIALTY REPORT

GCH CH Aviator’s Luck Be A Lady

As promised we have some National Specialty results for you.  First, as we mentioned in our all breed reports, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Aviator’s Luck Be A Lady, motored up I-5 to win Saturday’s Donner Trail Kennel Club show in Roseville CA after picking up the BISS at Friday’s Portuguese Water Dog Club of America’s 2010 National Specialty.  Karen Arends’ BOS was CH Spyglass’s Legend of Bahia.  Her BW/WB was Akire How Deep Was Your Love of Del Sur and WD went to Cascade Cee Deeogee.  BISS winner, Ladybug was bred by Craig Kuehn, Suzanne Kuehn, & Cathy Dugan, is owned by Mike & Cathy Dugan, Jerson Valle & Victor Malzoni Jr, and is handled by Amy Rutherford.    Congratulations to them and all the winners.

GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici

The Doberman Pinscher Club of America spent the week in Topeka KS for their 2010 National Specialty.  It culminated on Saturday with Faye Strauss choosing GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici as BOB.  Her BOS was GCH CH Steinway’s Paris Is Burning, BW/WD was Esquire’s Ultimatum, and WB was Rojhans Wild Rose V Allure.  FiFi also was the Top Twenty winner, handled by breeder/owner Jocelyn Mullins.  Congratulations to Jocelyn, breeder/owner Kevin Mullins & handler Michelle Santana, who piloted FiFi to the breed win.  Additional congratulations go out to all the other winners and participants.

English Springer Spaniel fanciers were in Albany OR this week for the 2010 National Specialty of the English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association.  Bettyann Hale had 172 Springers in the regular classes and chose GCH CH Cerise Jesse James as her BISS.  Her additional winners were BOS CH Crossroad Crown Royal Miracle, BW/WB Alynn’s Solitaire MH TD AX AXJ, and WD Beswyn Ynot Triple Play.  Breed winner Jesse was bred by Dorothy Cherry, is owned by Dorothy & Rosemary Fugit, and handled by Howard Huber Jr.  Our congratulations to Team Jesse and all the Springer folks in Albany this week.  We have to tell you that this could be our favorite photo on the blog.
