FIRST TIMERS IN WISCONSIN

GCH CH Summits Emery Its In The Bag

Weston WI, where the Paper Cities Kennel Club hosted two shows this weekend, is our final stop today.  Saturday Patti Long Smith chose the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summits Emery Its In The Bag, as he BIS while the Saluki, CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the Akita, CH Buckridge’s Positive Energy, the Norfolk Terrier, CH Max-well’s Violet, the Brussels Griffon, CH Knollands August Moon, the  Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH RiLee’s Stellar Performance, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, CH Starpons Mustang Sally Rae, watched.  It was the first all breed BIS for 18 month old Chloe.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Beth Johnson.

GCH CH RiLee’s Stellar Performance

Sunday Dr David Doan took over and saw the same Golden, Saluki, Akita, Tibetan Terrier, the Skye Terrier, CH Highlander’s Stuart Royalist, the Maltese, CH Seabreeze Caribbean Sun Callin, and the Puli, CH Bubbleton BeDazzled.  He chose another first timer, the Tibetan Terrier, Reece, as his Best.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Nikkie Kinziger and owners Barbara Y Bruns & Wolfgang Stamp.

  1. Chloe is a GCH and is one phenonmal bitch. She has 6 BISS at least one coming from the classes and now a BIS. AMAZING!

  2. Reese is a GCH and has accumulated multiple group wins and a BISS in a very short time since entering the Specials ring this year. A gorgeous and correct example of TT's! Now his first BIS!!

  3. If the picture showing this TT is current to state that she is a correct example of a TT in my opinion is inaccurate as the dogs feet are clearly scissored, the breed standard is very clear in and explicit when it covers the TT coat, the scissoring of the TT's coat is disallowed (trimming between the dogs pads for sanitation purposes is permitted).

  4. I am not sure where you see scissoring of Reese's feet in the picture - I know the dog personally and also the breeder/owner/handler and she has NEVER scissored feet or belled off ears like I have seen other TT handlers do. I believe that the picture is causing you to think that the feet have been scissored - please stop and see the dog in person next time you are at a show so that you know why I commented on this......Sabrina

  5. First of all, Reese is a HE... not a she. Clearly evident if you truly know anything about this breed. As the breeder and owner of this dog I will correct your untrue accusation now. Those feet have NOT been scissored. I would suggest perhaps a set of bifocals because you can see the stray edges all around his feet. I commend you for your correct statement about the scissoring of the TT coat being disallowed. I can think of others that would benefit more from your recollection of our breed standard in regards to the scissoring, but it does not pertain to this dog WHAT SO EVER. I strongly suggest approaching him at the nearest dog show to see for yourself just how incorrect your statement is. If you are so strong in your conviction here you should have the courage to sign your name.

  6. Coming from the midwest, I am very excited to see this wonderfully exciting golden win. Its fantastic to see Beth in the ring with a bitch again. Secondly, we are lucky enough to have some highly ranked TT's in this area. The breeders and handlers are top notch. Congrats to all. I hope that the one who posted before me can at least be happy for the golden, while others are happy for the TT, and finally, like myself, I am happy for both!!!

  7. I think one risks losing both accuracy and credibility when people are allowed to post anonymously. I've seen this dog and it's not scissored although the poster is right, some are.

  9. While your opinion may be valued by some, you need to reassess it and view what a REAL trimmed TT looks like! View many of the top 5 and then comment. This dog has NEVER seen scissors! BTW, Reese was shown to this award by AKC Reg Handler Bryan Martin, in place of his regular handler, Nancy Martin, who fell ill prior to the weekend. All is well now!
