COLORADO REPORT

Peter Green’s final seven were all that remained of 1400 dogs entered at the Southern Colorado Kennel Club’s Saturday show in Pueblo CO.

They were the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty’s Treasure Island, the Bloodhound, Ch Heather’s A Little Night Music, the Newfoundland, CH Bruin’s Onyxbay Premontion RA, the Colored Bull Terrier, Envoy Category Five, the Papillion, CH Arkeno’s Ear’ To You, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Guthries How Sweet It iS, and the Puli, CH Prydain Aviva. His Best In Show was the Newfoundland, his first. Congratulations to breeders/owners William R & Marcia Espander.

Sunday Keke Kahn’s BIS applicants were the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, CH Mardi Gras Strut The Stage, the previously mentioned Bloodhound, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Odyseas Card Shark, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH High Mtn Everso Fine JE, the above named Papillion, the Keeshond, CH Legend’s PurpleReign, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Rocheuses Pretty In Pink. Best In Show went to the Bouvier. We don’t know anything about this girl (we are assuming that no one would be cruel enough to hang this name on a dog), and we don’t know which of the Johnsons bred/own/ or handled her, but we do know that any dog they take into the ring commands our attention and we offer them our hearty congratulations. We will post more info and a photo when we have it.

  1. The bouvier was her first bis, but owner/handled and not by the Johnsons. The newfie was his first bis and handled by Karen and Clint Livingston, but covered by Heather Johnson in bis as they had 3 dogs in there. Don't have photos of either.
