GUMBO, GAMBLING, & DOGS

Biloxi, Mississippi, just down the coast from New Orleans, is best know for gumbo and gambling. However for the past four days it has been a dog’s life.

We did give you some results over the weekend. We gave you a full report on the Singing River Kennel Club Of Mississippi day one show and now we can tell you that Dr Steve Keating’s BIS lineup on Friday included the Irish Setter, CH Vineyard's Bad Boy, the Whippet, Bretica Man With The Big Cigar, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Phillmar Sobe Monster, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Commander's Strike For Independence, the Shih Tzu, CH Krissy's Dream Lover, the Lhasa Apso, CH Rushmar's Charmer, and the Rough Collie, CH Sylvan Argent Simply Irresistible. His BIS was the Canadian bred Whippet, Migual, coming out of the classes to win his first American BIS.

We did tell you that the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, was Jay Richardson’s BIS on day one of the Mobile Kennel Club. Her’s the rest of the lineup, Friday’s Irish Setter, Doberman, Wire Fox, Collir, the Saluki, DC Shahtani Ivory Moon SC, and the Bulldog, CH Millcoats Pilgrim's WJ. Sunday Mrs. Lee Canalizo saw the Irish Setter, Peke, Lhasa, & Collie repeat their appearances. She also had the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Rivendell Dark Side Of The Moon SW, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Sno Klassic Play The Game, and the multi titled Bedlington Terrier, CH Sangeo Farscape CD RA MX MXJ OF OAJ OJP OFP JE. It was the fourth final of the week for the Rough Collie, Sax, and her tenacity paid off with her twelfth BIS and 81st group firsts, both records for the breed.
