LITTLE DOGS IN LITTLE ROCK

We would normally be in Little Rock AR for the Arkansas Kennel Club’s two day stop, but daddy duty had us in DC this weekend.

CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar

Saturday it was Paula Nykiel with a superlative seven that included the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty’s Treasure Island, the Greyhound, CH Gaia Woodland Waltz, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Firebolts Vindicator, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Topwyre Candy Man, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Cedar C Barnstorms L&D Edition, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Scharo-Ark Long Hot Summer.

Day one belonged to the Prince of Pekingese, Hiram Stewart and his spectacular two year old bitch. We are always at a loss to tell you who is currently the number one Peke in the US. So we can’t really say if this girl is number one or number two, but she now has seven BIS to her credit this year.

CH Starline Chanel

Sunday, only the Golden would make it back to the BIS ring. John Ramirez’ other finalists were the Whippet, CH Starline Chanel, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Sonnenschein River Chase, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Circle C's Whimpy, the Pomeranian, CH Chars Bringing Sexy Back, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyang Chick Magnet At Asia, and the Rough Collie, CH Sylvan Argent Simply Irresistible.

And once again, the Toy prevailed, as the Pom, picked up his first BIS of the year. Bravo to breeders Charlotte Meyer & Diane L Finch, owners C Meyer, JD Kim & AY Jung, and handler Lynn R Meyer. Yes that’s the Whippet. That’s what we do when we can’t find a photo of the BIS winner.
