ILLINOIS RESULTS

Much of our day has been spent on the telephone checking on the status of a relative in our local emergency room. It was nothing serious, thank goodness, but it did take us away from our blogging at an inopportune time. But we are dedicated to informing our readers and will get you all the latest results. So without further excuses, here are the results from this weekend’s Danville Illinois Kennel Club’s two shows.

CH Dawin Spitfire

Saturday, Francine Schwartz greeted the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Dinges Irish Creme At Wynnsong, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Rosethorn Unique Answer, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Urban Pride Sharply Dressed, the Border Terrier, CH Tyrolian Eight Belles At Meadowlake, the Pomeranian, CH Char's Bringin' Sexy Back, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Smooth Collie, CH Chrysalis Ginger Snaps.

Her choice for Best In Show was the Doberman. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Penny Urban.

CH Rosethorn Unique Answer

Only the Dachshund and the Pomeranian were back for Sunday’s final with Richard Lashbrook. Also making the final cut were the Irish Setter, CH Windwood Inferno, the Saint Bernard, Kryskara Ace's Are Wild, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Pirouette's Rebbull Exemplar, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH O-Na-Pei I Go Back, and the Belgian Tervuren, CH Majic's Image Maker.

BIS went to the Shar-Pei, bred by E Hurst & Ann Cookson and owned by Dorothy Schuerman & Karen Kleinhans. Bravo to them all.

  1. Susan Kipp was in Santa Barbara, CA this past weekend for shows, not IL

  2. The BIS Doberman on Saturday was bred/handled and owned by Penny L.Urban. The additional owners listed are not at all owners of that dog.
