Region Four, the North Central Region, was the busiest this past weekend, with four sites holding shows. Moving east to west, we start in Corydon IN, where the Southeast Indiana Kennel Club put on two shows.

CH Devon Lady Simper Fi

As we reported, the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, took both BIS. Saturday is companions in the final were the Basenji CH Ab-Rafiki The Icon Of Cool, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Bernherr's Storm Surge V Ayehli, the Border Terrier, CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Italian Greyhound, CH Everafter Love's DS Otello, the Standard Poodle, CH Bar-None Dawin Travelin' Man, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Tim Tam Avant Garde.

CH Foxglen Deal Or No Deal

Sunday, Scout the only finalist to return. He was joined by the Basset Hound, CH Foxglen Deal Or No Deal, the Siberian Husky, CH Topaz T.R.O.U.B.L.E., the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, CH Pastime Eloise At The Plaza, the Pomeranian, CH Castile's Endless Love, the Schipperke, CH Dante Fire When Ready H.O.F., and the Border Collie, CH Shoreland 'N All That Jazz.

There were three shows in the Chicago Suburbs. Friday and Saturday the Fox River Valley kennel Club, set up camp in Woodstock IL.

CH Paisley NspirD By Broadway

Again, we were able to bring you the name of the BIS winners earlier. On Friday, the Norfolk Terrier, CH Max-Well’s Viper took home the top prize as the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Afterhours ReeceSuspectc Fowl Play At Game, the American Foxhound, CH Kiarry’s Foolish Pride, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Aluk’s Carry A Big Stick, the Pug, CH Tupelo ShoBoat Tu China Tu, the Dalmatian, CH Paisley NspirD By Broadway, and the Border Collie, CH Border Lane Jp Talisman Forever, watched.

CH Renaissance Girls Gone Wild

Saturday it was Viper’s turn to watch as the Pug, Boo, took the big rosette. Also on hand were Friday’s Foxhound & Dalmatian, the Vizsla, CH Renaissance Girls Gone Wild, the Newfoundland, CH Skipper’s Eminence King Of Helluland, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Maraux’s Venture Capital.

CH Lobato’s Code Red

Sunday the action moved to the southern suburb of Morris where the Stone City Kennel Club set up shop. Judge Joan Schurr Kefeli went over the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, CH Sandbar’s Stock Exchange, the abovementioned Foxhound, the Great Dane, CH Lobato’s Code Red, Friday’s BIS winner, the Norfolk Terrier, the Pug, CH Riversong’s Broadway Joe, the French Bulldog, CH Lebull’s Mr Murphy, and the Briard, CH La Vie Rose Dior August CD RN. The Dane, Cody, now has another BIS trophy to go with the one he picked up last weekend. It’s a habit worth cultivating.
