SEATTLE KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Kokopelli’s Sobe It

The Pacific Northwest is breathtakingly beautiful and such a pleasant environment that many of its residents never venture out of the region. Unfortunately it is also difficult for many of us outside the region to get to. If you are a dog fancier do put one of the area’s shows on your bucket list. You will be treated to some beautiful animals that don’t get around the country like some of our top campaigners.

GCH CH Kumi Kian Strike A Pose

This weekend in Seattle WA the hometown club drew some of the weekend’s biggest entries. Saturday judge Michael Faulkner chose his top two from a seven that include the Weimaraner, Northwoods Silversmith Islevue Rumor, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH GCH DC Perfection Cheria Electric Ice, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Ogee Saltus Ze Zahrabske, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Snowtaires Next Generation, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH North Well Vivian JP Rose Queen, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Kumi Kian Strike A Pose, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Kokopelli’s Sobe It. Judge Faulkner went with the Cattle Dog, Sobe, as his BIS and the Lhasa, Madonna, as his RBIS.

It was the second BIS of the year for Sobe, who has been the country’s Number One Australian Cattle Dog for the last three years.

Sunday judge Douglas Gaudin would choose one of local standouts, the Bulldog, GCH CH Wilson’s I’m Your Handyman, as his Best In Show and the English Setter, GCH CH Indian Bend Kelyric Heart And Soul, as his Reserve, after considering the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Southchase’s Wilbert Roy , the aforementioned Schnauzer, Lakeland, & Toy poodle, and Sober, the Cattle Dog.

It was the third BIS of the year for Dog2Watch Decker and handler Jay Serion. We hope you get to see Decker this year, though you may have to go to the Pacific Northwest to do it. It will be worth the trip.
