WELSH TERRIER BIS IN ORLANDO

Some of the biggest numbers this week were in Orlando FL and today’s Space Coast Kennel Club of Palm Bay show drew some of the sport’s biggest names. The seven that BIS judge Inge Semenschin saw were the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill, the Greyhound, GCH CH GrandCru Phelps Insignia, the Boxer, GCH CH Brisbane "N" Blue Monday's Diamonds Are Decadent, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab’s Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Papillon GCH CH Fenice Le Beaudreaux, the Finnish Spitz, GCH CH Marblehill's Gleaming Icecaps, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo's Picture Perfect.

The two she chose as her Best and Reserve were the Welsh Terrier, Jennie, and the OES, Swagger. Jennie is the country’s Number One Terrier and Number Six Dog All Breeds with 11 BIS and 41 Terrier Groups.

NUMBER ONE BIS IN VIRGINIA

GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse 

The nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, resurfaced today in Richmond VA to take the Best In Show at the Virginia Kennel Club’s closer.

Joining him in judge Dorothy Collier’s final were the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Fieldstone Carousel Hell's Kitchen, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner's International S'Cess, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, her RBIS, the Pekingese, CH Pequest General Tso, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotted Bliss Oreo Delight, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Ha'Penny Mirimar The Fab Fawn. 

Matisse and handler Michael Scott continue their assault on the record books with their 62 BIS in 81 trips to the final ring this year.

GCH CH Tashtins Lookin For Trouble 

Judge Elizabeth Muthard was in Armada MI for today’s Macomb Kennel Club final. The seven dogs that stayed all day to see her were the English Setter, CH Legends What Women Want, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtins Lookin For Trouble, the Siberian Husky, CH Dynasty's Husky Lucky Strike, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J'Cobe Broxden Shark Dressed Man, the Havanese, GCH CH Qbin's Strictly Confidential At Enginuity , the Bulldog, GCH CH KR Emperor Pyrus, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Stonepillar's Steel Blu. 

 CH Dynasty's Husky Lucky Strike 

 The two that stayed for the photos were her BIS, the Beagle, Miss P, and her RBIS, the Siberian, Lucky. Miss P is the country’s Number Two Hound with 7 BIS and 36 Hound groups.

Great Lakes fanciers were in Crown Point IN for Saturday’s Lake Shore Kennel Club show. The seven that stayed to the end of the day to see BIS judge Margo Klinger were the Welsh Springer Spaniel, Trystyn Statesman Cactus Blue, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Elmo’s Martian Chronicles, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Avatar Cosmac Storm, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Garcini Rangels Rock N Rolla, the Pug, GCH CH Fantasia KaBar Diamonds ‘N Thunder, the Keeshond, GCH CH KJ’s Hot Date, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has it V Kenlyn.

BIS was the Rottweiler, Mac, and her RBIS was the Keeshond, Potottie. It was the first BIS of the year for Mac and handler Johann Emidi. Congratulations to Johan, breeder/owner Geri Bidgood, co-breeder Roxanne Robertson, and owners Marilyn Brennan, Jack McIlwaine, & Andy McIlwain.

Our next report comes in from Iowa City IA and the Hawkeye Kennel Club. The seven dogs judge Richard Miller considered were the English Cocker Spaniel, CH Foxwoods Rock Of Cashel the Saluki, GCH CH Aurora’s Song And Dance Man, the Mastiff, Stonehavens-Gary Schneider’s Small Town Girl, the Border Terrier, CH Mchill’s HRH Prince Gizmo House Of Gremlin, the Pomeranian, CH Firefly Poms Pippin Of Rone’s, the Dalmatian, CH Centurion Anticipation Charming, and the Border Collie, GCH CH F Si A Ge Of Fu You Yuan Kennel.

Going to the head of the line was the Border Collie, followed by the Border Terrier. It was the first AKC BIS for the Border Collie from China. Congratulations to breeder/owner Jing Li , owners Jennifer Mosing & Nan Zhang, and handler Brian Livingston.

Our Number Three Dog All Breeds, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, continued her summer spree with her second consecutive BIS at Saturday’s Cambridge Minnesota Kennel show.

 Joining the definitive diva in judge Elliot Weiss’ final were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Telltales American Ride, the RBIS, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Philmar’s Superman, the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, GCH CH Kings Mtn Angelina Ballerina, the Papillon, GCH CH InVolo The King of Pop, and the Canaan Dog, GCH CH Pleasant Hill Magnum of Samara. 

It was the 24th BIS in 62 trips to the final ring this year for Flame and handler Sarah PerchiCk and their sixth BIS in the last three weekends.

GCH CH Sandpiper’s Let Freedom Ring 

Exhibitors on the Montana Marathon spent Saturday in Great Falls MT at the Electric City Kennel Club’s day two show. Judge Larry Sinclair had the final and his pick of the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Sandpiper’s Let Freedom Ring, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Osiris Cowboy Casanova, the Samoyed, CH Polar Mist Midnight Delight, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), the Bichon Frise, CH Newtine Crowne of Queen, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Copperridge’s What’s Your Dream.

Finishing one/two were the Golden, Freedom, and the Pharaoh Hound, Farley. Freedom is AKC’s Number One Golden Retriever, and Number Sporting Dog with four BIS and 17 Sporting Groups this year.

Dr Daniel Dowling chose his BIS from the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade’s Pay It Forward, the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Southchase’s Wilbert Roy, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Peace River’s Gathers No Moss at Sunstra, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Tiffanie’s Fame N Fortune, the Papillon, GCH CH La Ren Royal Heir Jareaux, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Lakeridge Atalanta Summer In Paris, and the Pembroke welsh Corgi, GCH CH Foxlore Xmas Kane Jareaux

The two he liked were the Field Spaniel, Gideon, and the Coonhound, WR. Gideon is the nation’s Number Two Sporting Dog with seven BIS and 24 Sporting Groups.

POODLE GETS ANOTHE IN NEW PALTZ

GCH CH Unique Da Maya Dancing Queen 

The Standard Poodle, GCH CH Unique Da Maya Dancing Queen, picked up her second BIS of the weekend at today’s Mid-Hudson Kennel Association show in New Paltz NY. Judge Roland Pelland’s RBIS was the Pomeranian, GCH CH Zeigen Aurora Australis. 

Rounding out his seven were the Vizsla, GCH CH Lorac's Cap'n Jack Sparrow, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creeks Double Or Nothing For Heather, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Avalon Bey's Little Bit Of Thunder CGC, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Class Act By Hallsblu, and the Bearded Collie GCH CH Classical's My Turn. 

Marcie now has two BIS and 16 Non-Sporting Groups this year. Look for this one this summer.

IRISH SETTER BIS IN RUSH NY

GCH CH Militza's My Cherie Amour 

The Irish Setter, GCH CH Militza's My Cherie Amour, was judge Alfred Ferruggiaro Best In Show at today’s Genesee Valley Kennel Club in Rush NY. 

 Joining her in the final ring were the Saluki, GCH CH Takara The Time Is Now, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Cypress Bay's Big Sur, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH WyrLake Foxhollow Mirror Mirror, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Eliza Jeann De La Rivieroise, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH ByRequest Bon Mot, and Reserve winner, the German Shepherd Dog, CH Keylis Spotlite Just Do It. 

Adele is the nation’s Number One Irish Setter and Number 14 Sporting Dog with two BIS and 20 Sporting Groups this year.
