TOY SPANIEL BIS IN IOWA

GCH CH LTO Prosperity 

The Fort Dodge Kennel Club is treating their Iowa hometown  to two days of doggy fun this weekend. Saturday ended with judge Helen Lee James in the final ring with the Parti-Colored Cocker Spaniel , CH Monthaven’s The Birdcage, the Norwegian Elkhound, CH Aspen’s It Takes A Thief, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Ziemabora’s Strut Your Stuff, the Australian Terrier, GCH CH Dunham Lake’s Scout Master, the King Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH LTO Prosperity, the Keeshond, GCH CH Trumpets No Questions Asked, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Taylryder’s Dyn-o-Mite At Turnabout.

Finishing one/two were the Toy Spaniel, Prosperity, and the Keeshond, Shady. Prosperity is the nation’s Number Seven Toy Dog with four BIS and 24 Toy Groups.

NUMBER TWO GAINING

GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect 

The country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect, continues his pursuit of the Number One Ranking, collecting his fourth straight BIS at yesterday’s Eagle Rock Kennel Club show in Blackfoot ID. 


GCH CH Hil-N-Don & Canyonwood Seemore of Me 

Joining Swagger in judge Suzanne Dillin’s final were her RBIS, the English Setter, GCH CH Hil-N-Don & Canyonwood Seemore of Me, the Saluki, GCH CH Sundara's Here Comes The Sun, the Akita, GCH CH Redwith Adreneline Junkie, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Michan’s Mick Like A Rolling Stone, the Pekingese, GCH CH Dunkirk Imagine That, and the Dalmatian, GCH CH Kastle’s Go Speed Racer. 

In so much as Swagger is competing at six shows this week to the Number One Dog’s four, we expect that Swagger will have narrowed the gap a bit by this evening. Swagger starts the day with 36 BIS and 66 Herding Groups so far this year.

PAPILLON BIS IN PENNSYLVANIA

GCH CH InVolo The King of Pop 

We begin this Father’s Day with a report on Saturday’s Bryn Mawr Kennel Club show in Ludwigs Corner PA. BIS judge Doris Cozart mulled over the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Telltale American Ride, the Basenji, GCH CH Akuaba N Eldorado Bungle in The Jungle, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Lorals Trooper, the Papillon, GCH CH InVolo The King of Pop, the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Giorgio Armani, and the Briard, CH Ne Orageux’s Flash Point.

Her BIS was the Papillon, Jackson, and her RBIS was the Rottweiler, Trooper. The jet setting Jackson has been splitting his time between New Jersey based owner Gia Garofalo and Texas handler Brian Livingston. Yesterday it was Brian and Jackson collecting his eighth BIS in 35 final appearances this year.

GONNA BE A LONG, HOT SUMMER

GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse 

 It was déjà vu all over again at the St Petersburg Dog Fanciers Association show in Tampa FL as the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, and the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, repeated their BIS and RBIS performances from yesterday’s Greater Venice Florida Dog Club show.

BIS judge James Reynolds also considered the Boykin Spaniel, CH Larley's Nothing But the Truth, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Regimes Thriller Of Elmo, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Abbapoola's Mr Slice Of Life, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Bandog Major League Homerun At TX Star, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Wonderland's Force Of Nature. It was the third straight BIS for Matisse and his 60th BIS in 78 final attempts this year. That’s an incredible 77 percent win ratio. This is going to be a long, hot summer.

Terry Stacy was in Troy OH to call the Best In Show at today’s Echo Hills Kennel Club of Ohio, the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Foxwoods Dublin Diva, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay Midnight Victory, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen's Holy Knight, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab's Bayleigh Maid Of Honor, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Homestead Zoey Of Treyacres, the Chinese Shar-Pei GCH Shine's Deck The Halls, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It V Kenlyn.

His BIS was the Welsh Terrier, Jennie, and his RBIS was the GSD, Rumor. The win, Jennie’s tenth BIS in 37 final attempts, puts her on the heels of the Number One Terrier. We’ll let you know who's Number One just as soon s this weekend's numbers are in.

SHIH TZU BIS IN MICHIGAN

GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power 

 Meanwhile in Traverse City MI judge Roger Hartinger named the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, his BIS at today’s Grand Traverse Kennel Club show. We suppose judge Hartinger might have name the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Wynsom s Cowgirls Don’t Cry, the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Shoreviews Raise Your Glass, the Boxer, GCH CH Nantess Caleno Numero Uno, his RBIS, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J'Cobe Broxden Shark Dressed Man, the Bulldog, GCH CH Just Lonestar Bright Lights Big City, or the Old English Sheepdog, Aryakas Phoenix, but he didn’t.

 Rocket and breeder/owner/handler Luke Ehricht have made their presence known of late with five BIS and 21 Toy Groups this year. Four of those BIS have come sine Memorial Day.  Now that’s the Dog Days of Summer.

DALMATIAN BIS IN MASSACHUSETTS

Up in Topsfield MA the Dalmatian, GCH CH Erin's I'm Your Man, was judge Raymond Filburn’s BIS at today’s North Shore Kennel Club show. Joining Colin in the final ring were the Golden Retriever, CH Nautilus Keystone , the Pharaoh Hound, DC Hallam’s Jake Of Arolet SC , the Akita, CH Nakodo's Taking Over The Reigns, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Br'Er Fox Philippa Of Hunterston, the Pekingese, GCH CH Hoong Tao’s Walk This Way, the and the RBIS, the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical's My Turn.

Mark that as Colin’s second BIS of the year in Five trips to the final ring this year.

GSD BEST IN NORTH CAROLINA

GCH CH Woodside's Megabucks 

We go next to Waynesville NC where the Western Carolina Dog Fanciers Association opened their two day weekend. The seven dogs that BIS judge Robert Vandiver saw were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Doc's Greyborn North Star Of Acadia, the American Foxhound , CH Kiarry's Stonewall Jackson, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Avalon Bey's Are The Stars Out Tonight , the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Connacht A Ha' Penny Will Do, the Pug, GCH CH Caper's Sirius Endeavor, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Unique Da Maya Dancing Queen, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Woodside's Megabucks. 

GCH CH Doc's Greyborn North Star Of Acadia 

The two he chose were the GSD, Megabucks, and the Weimaraner, Bella Blue. It was the tenth BIS in 22 final appearances for Megabucks and handler Lenny Brown.

BLOODHOUND BIS IN WV

GCH CH Flessner's International S'Cess 

The Greater Clarksburg West Virginia Kennel Club held their show today in Morgantown WV (that’s the greater part) and asked judge Nancy Liebes to name the Best In Show and Reserve. Her seven hopefuls were the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Trinity’s Tucked Under His Wing, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner's International S'Cess, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Mistic's Longfellow Serenade, the Russell Terrier, DBF Stanley Cup, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), the Chow Chow, GCH CH Are-Jay's Harlem Renaissance, and the Border Collie, CH Shura's Notorius Of Avatar.

The two she liked were the Bloodhound, Nathan, and the Chihuahua, Sonnito. Nathan seems determined to remain the Number Hound with 11 BIS and 34 Hound Groups this year.

We awake to find that all three of our Top Dogs All Breeds earned a Best in Show on Friday. We already told you that the Number One Dog, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, was judge Jay Richardson’s BIS at the Greater Venice Florida Dog Club show in Tampa FL.

The Number Two Dog, the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect, collected his third straight BIS at the Pocatello Kennel Club show in Blackfoot ID. Joining Swagger in Col Harold Brizee’s final were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Hill-N-Don & Canyonwood Seemore of Me, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek's Limited Edition, the Akita, GCH CH Mojo's Continuation Of A Myth, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Michan’s Mick Like A Rolling Stone, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Hilltop's GQ Cover Boy, and the RBIS, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Del Zarzosa Salvame From Afterglow. For those keeping track (and we are) it was Swagger’s 35th BIS in 65 final appearances this year.

The Number Three Dog, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, was in Grayslake IL for Friday’s Little Fort Kennel Club Of Waukegan show, accepting the big rosette from judge Betty Anne Stenmark. Judge Stenmark named the English setter, GCH CH Stargaze'R 'N Wingfield Wait Wait Don't Tell, her RBIS, after considering the American Foxhound, Kiarry’s Foolish Jokester, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Kamterra’s Legato, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Sharob’s Commander In Chief, the Papillon, GCH CH Wingssong Singular Sinsation, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Clarion Nightline II.


GCH CH Stargaze'R 'N Wingfield Wait Wait Don't Tell 

Flame trails the Swagger by 38,000 points and leads the Number Four Dog, the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, by 3500 points with 20 BIS and 56 Non-Sporting Groups.
