DAY ONE IN MARSHFIELD WI

The Wisconsin Rapids Kennel Club opened the two show weekend in Marshfield WI today, ending with judge James Fredericksen’s final.  The seven fresh faces he saw were the Brittany, GCH CH Star Flight Jumpin Jack Flash RN OA OAJ, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Dunstan Tucker, the Newfoundland, CH Pouch Cove’s Seabrook Enough Said, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Warfox Wild Flower, the Shih Tzu, CH Jadesilk Luv T’Auburn Locks, the Keeshond, GCH CH KJ’s Hot Date, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Anne-Isle’s Promise Keeper TDX OJP OAP RA CGC.

Finishing one/two were the Shih Tzu and the Smooth Fox.  This is the fifth BIS for the 22 month old Jolene.  We hope to have photos for you soon.

FRIDAY IS HUMP DAY IN NC

It’s the third day of the five day set in Greensboro NC and the Greater Hickory Kennel Club’s turn to host.  They put Gary Bassett in the final ring with the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, GCH CH Pikkinokka's Lightning Bug, the Longhaired Dachshund, CH Kaycees Galewinns Starburst At Wagsmore ML, the Boxer, GCH CH Hi-Tech The King Of Sherry Shoot Jp, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab's Bayleigh Maid Of Honor, the Pug, GCH CH Caper's Sirius Endeavor, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH RinChen's Blazing Black Icon, and the Finnish Lapphund, GCH CH Lumiturpa Arvi.

Today’s BIS belonged to the Welsh Terrier, Jennie.  Reserve went to the , Pug, Rufus.  It’s the 12 BIS in 40 final appearances for the country’s Number Three Terrier.  Did you notice that it’s the third BIS by a Terrier this week?   Do you see the Montgomery County Momentum?

GSD BIS IN MUNCIE IN

Our remaining Thursday report comes in from Muncie IN where the Muncie Kennel Club opened the four show Iced Tea Cluster.  BIS judge Tim Catterson considered the Golden Retriever, CH Trailsend Twill Be Or Not Twill, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Lecralee’s Baywatch MW, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Dal Primo Magic Moment, the Russell Terrier, CH Appassionato JP Monamour’s Star, the Pug, GCH CH Hill Country’s Tag I’m It, the Shiba Inu, GCH CH Kumi One Ten Soldier, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy of Merivern.

Best was the GSD, Galaxy, and Reserve was the Bullmastiff, Blaine.  Galaxy and handler Scott Yergin are having a very good summer with seven BIS in the last ten weeks, bringing his 2013 take to ten BIS and 42 Herding Groups.

DAY ONE IN MISSISSIPPI

We have a four day set this week here in the Memphis suburb of Southaven MS.  Today’s opener was hosted by the Olive Branch Kennel Club who asked Sue Woodle to choose her Top Two.  The seven she considered were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH PBJ’s Fearless, the Saluki, GCH CH Appalachia’s Allamyrra Hajji, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Blackhawk Finnegan’s Wake, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Goodtime Charlie, the Papillon, GCH CH Widfire On The Record, the French Bulldog, CH Bandog Major League Homerun At TX Star, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Harmony Hill Money Talks.

Day one’s BIS went to the Skye, Charlie, and the RBIS, to the Aussie, Cash.  Charlie and handler Larry Cornelius now have eight BIS in 17 final appearances.  Charlie has been one of the most consistent Terriers these last few months.  We look for him to be a major player seven weeks from now at the Terrier Super Bowl, the Montgomery County Kennel Club show.

It’s day two for the Danville Kennel Club as they did it all over again in Greensboro NC.   Today ended with Linda Robey in the final ring with the English Setter, GCH CH Lochlomond’s Wrapped Up in You JH, the Longhaired Dachshund, CH  Kaycees Galewinns Starburst At Wagsmore ML, the Boxer, GCH CH Hi-Tech The King Of Sherry Shoot Jp, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Overtops An The Winner Is, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables The Frat Boy.

Grabbing the BIS was the Setter, Beau.  Taking the RBIS was the Sheltie, Brother.    It was Beau’s first BIS of the year in five final appearances and he did it against top ranked, BIS winning competition.  Congratulations to breeders Tom Dowell & Kay Monaghan, owners Sarah Kuniansky & Frazier Neal, and handler Jamie Clute.
