BACK2BACK IN BREMERTON

The Peninsula  Dog Fanciers Club was in Bremerton WA this weekend for their two shows and  the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye, made the most of the opportunity. packing up both the BIS rosettes.

On Saturday Keke Kahn preferred Justin to  the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Rush Hill's Drama'geddon, her RBIS, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Sleepy Hollow Carolina Special, the Tibetan Mastiff, GCH CH Dreamcatcher Major Victory Of Loki, the Smooth Chihuahua, GCH CH Koniki’s Queen Of De Nile 4 Bellachi, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Kumi Kian Strike A Pose, and the Cardigan welsh Corgi, GCH CH Allegro Southern Charm. 

Sunday Justin and handler Bergit Kabel impress  BIS judge Robert Schreve more than his Reserve, the above named Golden, the aforementioned Dachshund, Chihuahua, & Lhasa, the Siberian Husky, CH Rybrook’s Appearances Rules The World, or the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Onthego’s Here’s Lookin At Ya.

Justin is the winningest Miniature Schnauzer in AKC history with !6 BIS, including five this year.

GCH CH Willow Ridges Risky Business

We start our Monday Morning Mop Up in Fort Worth TX where the hometown Fort Worth Kennel Club drew the largest entries of the week, with better than 2100 dogs entered on both Saturday and Sunday.

Judge Donavon Thompson had the day one final and his choice of the Irish Setter, GCH CH Militza's Glamorous Attire, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the Mastiff, GCH CH Willow Ridges Risky Business, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH High Mountain Everso in Command, the Maltese, CH Rhapsody's Someone Like You, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do You Know The Way To San Jose, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails of Mystery.

His top two made an odd couple, his BIS, the Mastiff, Kruz, and his Reserve, the Corgi, Libby.  It’s Kruz’ first BIS and first final of the year. Congratulations to breeders Anna Page & Cole Harvey, owners Jill Swarts, Nancy Walker, and Mark Tichenor, and handler Colette Livingston.

Sunday Dr Alvin Krause would consider the above named Irish Setter, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Oxford Victim of Love, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Fortune Forward, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Hilltop’s GQ Cover Boy, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Jidi The Great One At Rebelrun, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv The Show Must Go On Four Ewe.

GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style

It would be the Lakeland, Dru, taking home the points and the big rosette, while the Boxer, Macey, got the reserve ribbon, and the photo op.  It’s the second BIS in eight final appearances this year for Dru and handler Scott Sommer.

ONE & TWO TAKE TWO

Our Top Two Dogs All Breeds are both having a very good week. Yesterday, the nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, picked up her second consecutive BIS in Vallejo CA where she is in the middle of a four day set.  Today the country’s Number Two Dog, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, Day picked up her second consecutive BIS in Raleigh NC where she has now completed four shows.

Joining Classie and owner/handler Armando Angelbello in Susan Godek’s final ring at today’s Raleigh Kennel Club show were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Northwinds First Reign, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Reserve winner, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Kenro’s Witching Hour, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Joval’s Angel’s Whisper, the American Eskimo Dog, GCH CH Nuuktok’s Atka Inukshuk, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Allure at Wyndstar.

Classie now has 14 BIS this year, the most of any dog in the US this season.

GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky

Out in Vallejo CA, the country’s Number One Dog, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, gave handler Gabriel Rangel the perfect birthday gift, a BIS at yesterday’s San Mateo Kennel Club show.

Joining Sky and Gabriel in Joe Tacker’s final were the RBIS, the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade's Pay It Forward, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Vin-Melca's The Norseman, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor Flirt's High Flyin' Gladiator, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Victory’s Spencer, the Boston Terrier, GCH CH Gunther’s Gussied Up Edna, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Take Aim's Playing For Gryffindor.

The win, Sky’s second of the set & 12th of the year, leaves her better than 5500 points ahead of the field.

EDISON NY DAY ONE

The Big Apple Sporting Society, the all toy dog Progressive Dog Club, the Non-Sporting Group Club Of The Garden State, and the Herding Group Association of New Jersey, all got a head start Thursday on the all breed action in Edison NJ.  On Friday the rest of the groups joined Ron Menaker for his final at the New Brunswick Kennel Club’s opener.

The seven who made it to the BIS ring were the English Springer Spaniel, Legacy Random Titleist, the Saluki, GCH CH Bay Watch Babe Von Agrani, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, the Colored Bull Terrier, GCH CH Banbury Bedrock Bright Star Bright, the Havanese, GCH CH Harbor’s Sky-Blue Pink, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Devinwood’s A Perfect Stranger.

His BIS was the country’s Number One Working Dog, the Portie, Matisse.  His RBIS was the Bull Terrier, Yum Yum.   Matisse and handler Michael Scott have been on a tear since their Group One win at last month’s Westminster Kennel Club show.  They have collected six BIS in 19 final appearances this year.  Good enough to make Matisse the Number Four Dog All Breeds.
