BACK2BACK BIS IN KENTUCKY



GCH CH Bo-Bett Speed Demon

Our last report from the past weekend comes in from Philpott KY and the Owensboro’s River City Kennel Club.  The Whippet, GCH CH Bo-Bett Speed Demon, dominated the set, taking home both the BIS.

On Saturday Demon and handler Justin Smithey, impressed judge Raymond V Filburn Jr more than the English Setter, GCH CH Aerden's Pretty In Pink JH, the RBIS, the Bullmastiff, CH Dal Primo Magic Moment, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, MiRos Secret Agent Of Jetstaff, the Pug, GCH CH House Poory JP Yum-yum Zerohour, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Imagine Loves Second Chance, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Swancrest The Power Of Love Eternal.

Sunday Toddie Clark chose Demon over the above named StaffyBull Pug, & PON, the Brittany, GCH CH Melridge Stir N It Up, the Reserve winner, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, and the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Glenleigh Gang's 'N Roses.  

Demon is the Number One Whippet dog in the US now with four BIS in 20 final appearances, with three of those BIS coming in the last two weeks.

GCH CH Dancin' Prelude To Winter    

The Greater Humble Area Kennel Club was in their suburban Houston hometown this weekend for their two all breed shows.  The seven who joined judge Thomas Touzel in the first final were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Dancin' Prelude To Winter, the Redbone Coonhound, GCH CH CWSG Sidearm Jungle King Mufasa, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine's Lonewolf Whisky River, the Maltese, GCH CH Chrisman’s Shiny Toy Gun, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Shilo Time For A Good Time, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails of Mystery.

Taking home the top two prizes were the Coonhound who got the RBIS, and the Irish Setter, Winter. It’s the first BIS for  Winter and handler Christopher Keith.  Congratulations to Christopher, breeders Georgianne Carney & Suzanne Menard, and Dr Silvia R Folts.   

Sunday the Corgi, Libby, would be the only of the Saturday finalists to make it to Raymond Bay’s BIS ring.   The six newcomers were the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH West Star's Calm Before The Storm, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, Celestial CJ's Ringmaster at Talus, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Zilya's Chicago Blues Fusion At Runes CD RN, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Challenger's Honky Tonk Man, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Oakrose High N' Mighty, and  the Dalmatian, CH Nspird By M V Me Bad Bad Leroy Brown.   

The Pom, Zeus, snagged the RBIS and the four year old GSP dog walked away with the BIS.  We believe this is his first all breed Best.  Congratulations to breeder Sarah Kreilich and owners Travis & Benny Conboy & Margaret J Sylvester.

The Mesilla Valley Kennel Club and the Chaparral Kennel Club teamed up for four shows in Alamogordo NM this past weekend.  The MVKC had the first two days and Jacki Stacy had the first final.  The seven making that final were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Ventures Boys N Toys, the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Barristers Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor High Flyin' Gladiator, the Welsh Terrier, CH Malvado Rayne Beau, the Havanese, GCH CH Bellatak McDreamy, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Imperiale Bellaridge Shady Harbor Patrick Dempsey, and the Beauceron, GCH CH Flame Noire Du Chateau Rocher.

Claiming the first prizes of the stop were the RBIS, the Golden, Tonka, and the BIS, the Havanese, Dreamer. Dreamer has three BIS in 13 final appearances this year.

GCH CH Harmony Hill's Money Talks

Dreamer would return on Saturday along with the above named Beagle and Rott to see Peggy Conger along with the English Springer Spaniel, CH Winamere N Gold Camp Simply D Best, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Tontine's Chance Redemption, the Bulldog, Newcomb's Konnie K, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Harmony Hill's Money Talks. 

It would be the Aussie, Cash, running away with the points while the Rottweiler, Pilot, would get the runner up spot.   

CH Winamere N Gold Camp Simply D Best

Sunday Betty Jo Patrick would see the aforementioned Springer, Rott, Kerry, & Havanese, the Basenji, CH Ahmahr Nahr's Lost Angel Gabriel, the Keeshond, Ruttkay Chance, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Traveler’s Pierce Arrow.  The Havanese would once again pick up the RBIS, while the Springer, Patron, would get his first BIS of the year.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Glenda McCain and owner/handler Lynda O'Connor-Schneider.

Monday Tim Robbins would close the set along with the Springer, Patron, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Tievoli Rumors Oh Hail Yeah MW, the Rottweiler, Pilot, the Border Terrier, CH Bravo's High Dollar Habit, the Havanese, Dreamer, the Bulldog, GCH CH Itsa Brix, and the Australian Shepherd, Cash.   The Bulldog, Brix, would collect the Reserve ribbon, and the Aussie, Cash, would take his second big rosette of the stop.  Cash is the country’s Number One Australian Shepherd with six BIS and 20 Herding Groups.

LINCOLN NE DAYS 3 & 4

While the country’s Number One Dog, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm was in Pennsylvania battling the hordes of Terriers, the Number Two Dog, the English Springer Spaniel,  GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, was in Lincoln NE going three for four at the Platte Valley Kennel Club Of Fremont, Nebraska & Cornhusker Kennel Club Of Lincoln, Nebraska shows.  GCH CH CR Chase what Matters 

On Saturday the Springer, Peyton and handler Robin Novack were the choice of Richard Lopaschuk over the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the Boxer, GCH CH R and G’s Mystical Dancer, the Miniature Schnauzer, CH Rivers Force of Nature, the RBIS, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Chase what Matters, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin’s Hearts on Fire, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lonestar Margarita Rose.

Sunday Peyton impressed Karen S McFarlane more than did the above named Saluki, Pom, or Poodle, the RBIS, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Glaurieus Top Supermodelle, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Wyndlair Cherokee Vindication.  The three wins brings Peyton’s 2012 take to 46 BIS this year.  We will have all the number tabulated later today and will tell you who came out on top.

GCH CH Lismore’s Phantom Legacy

The Wright County Minnesota Kennel Club was in Hutchinson MN Satruday & Sunday for their two shows.  Thomas Nesbitt had the day one final and the pleasure of the company of the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robin Crest spectacular Bid JH, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Kwetu’s Dosty Rose, the Bullmastiff, CH Leatherneck’s It’s A Bull’s Eyes, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH RKC Into The Mysticat Green acres, the Pug, Butterbean’s Winchester Fully Loaded, the Bulldog, Evergreen’s Miss Congeniality, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Lismore’s Phantom Legacy.

BIS went to the Corgi, Andrew, and the RBIS to the Bullmastiff.  It’s the first BIS of the year for Andrew.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Ptti Kleven & Lisa Klever, co-breeder S Weiss, and owner L Bullert.


 CH BenMer’s Show Stopper JH 

Saturday’s BIS & RBIS were the only two of Saturday’s finalists to return on Sunday to see Diane Malenfant.  They were joined by English Setter, CH BenMer’s Show Stopper JH, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Peer Giant Stings Like A Bee, the Kerry Blue Terrier, Morin’s Holidazzle, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Ista’s Hurricain Chaser, and the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Heights PDQ.

Finishing one/two were the Setter, Georgia, and the Shih Tzu, Chase.  It’s the first for two year old Georgia.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Susan Anne Bosshart.
