The Evansville Kennel Club just wrapped their mega show here in Louisville KY.  More than 3500 dogs came to play.  Among them were some of the finest to be seen anywhere in the world.  The seven who made it to Carolyn Taylor’s final were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Dhu Mohr Pennant’s Quilleran, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH After All’s Painting the Sky, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker’s Rumpus Bumpus.

It was the little dog, the MinPin, Classie, taking home the big points.   Classie is already the Number One Toy Dog and the Number Eight Dog All Breeds and this win will likely help her move up a couple of places.  However, The Number One, Four, Five, Six, & Seven dogs are also in Louisville picking up big points in the Group (today’s Working Group had 730 dogs entered).  Check back with us next week and we will give you the most up to date standings you can get any anywhere.

LOUISVILLE DAY ONE

GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky

We are here in Louisville KY, still reeling from canine sensory overload, after watching some nine hours of judging at today‘s Mid-Kentucky Kennel Club show.  We feel like a kid locked in a candy store.  The day ended with Clinton Harris mulling over a choice of the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Whippet, GCH CH Bo-Bett’s Speed Demon, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Myshara’s Dancing Queen.

He chose the Wire, Sky, as his Best.  This girl has made it a practice to win the big ones, debuting last month with back2back wins in Chicago.  With wins like the one today, you can bet this girl will be showing up in the Top Twenty in the next couple of weeks.
