W SPRINGFIELD MA DAY TWO

GCH CH Foursquare I'll Be A Shostopa Tu

We now have results from W Springfield MA where the Albany Kennel Club celebrated their second show of the week with Michele Billing’s final.  Joining her were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Sentinel, the 15” Beagle, GCCH CH Langrigg Star of the Stage, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH D’s Devil Wears Pravda, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me A Spot, the Pug, GCH CH Foursquare I'll Be A Shostopa Tu, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Braintree Mister Baggins.

The one who impressed her was the Pug, McGee.  It’s the third this year for McGee and handler Jason Bailey. 

LINCOLN NE DAY THREE OF FOUR

We hear that out in Lincoln NE the top winning Whippet of all time has added another BIS to her resume.  GCH CH Starline’s Chanel was Robert Stein’s Best In Show at the day one show of the Platte Valley Kennel Club Of Fremont, Nebraska.  Also on hand were the American Water Spaniel, CH Waterway Game Crk Hot Diggity, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Gallants First & Foremost V Ciden, the Parson Russell Terrier, CH Posey Canyon No Brainer!, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Miletree Northern  the Star at Shirmont, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the Belgian Sheepdog, GCH CH Chargany's Voyageur.

Chanel & handler Lori Wilson now have 63 career BIS, 30 this year.

CUMBERLAND MD DAY TWO

GCH CH Foxbend Colour Me More

It was the Upper Potomac Valley Kennel Club’s turn to host in Cumberland MD and Mark Kennedy’s turn to choose a Best In Show.  He chose his best of the English Setter, GCH CH Myshadow Free For All RN CD, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Foolish Pride, the Great Dane, GCH CH Diola’s Start Your Engines, the Parson Russell Terrier, GCH CH Foxbend Colour Me More, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Edgewood’s It’s all About Benjamin, the Bulldog, GCH CH Green Mt-Kincora’s Windkist Raphael, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Baheim’s Captain Crunch.

It was the Parson Russell, Heidi’s, turn to win another BIS.  It’s the second of the year for the country’s Number One Parson Russell Terrier, who remains the only of her breed to win a BIS this year.  Congratulations to breeders David & Susan Crawford, owners Jane Gardner & Douglas Rapport, and handler Dana Bryson.

It’s day two for the Gloucester County Kennel Club in Buena NJ and once again we had a powerhouse lineup in the final, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Somerri Jamieson's Sea Whiskey, the  Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the American Staffordshire Terrier,  GCH CH Castle Rock's Sbigstaff Mad About You, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Tibroke’s Kiss By A Star, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kenlyn Isadora V Hi Cliff.

Toddie Clark’s BIS was AKC’s Number Five Dog All Breeds, the Affenpinscher, Joey.  The question is was, Joey’s 27th Best of the year good enough to move him into the Number Four spot?

Before we tell you about today’s results, let’s catch you up on yesterday’s Stephenville Kennel Club Of Texas show in Belton TX.  Dr Gareth Morgan-Jones had his pick of the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style, the Scottish Terrier, CH Kelwyn’s Bodacious GM Alpine Racer, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Tamarin Top Banana, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Chaoyang’s Chick Magnet at Asia, and the Rough Collie, to be named later.

Best went to the Cocker, Beckham.  For those of you who are not regular readers, Beckham is the country’s Number One Dog All Breeds and, with 54 BIS this year, is likely to remain so for the rest of the year.

PLEASANTON CA DAY TWO

GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek

With over 2200 dogs entered today’s Skyline Dog Fanciers Of San Mateo County was a major prize for Sari Brewster Tietjen’s seven finals, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Oakhurst Fruit Of The Vine, the Boxer, GCH CH R and G’s Mystical Dancer, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Pug, GCH CH Caper's Sirius Endeavor, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Kastle Go Speed Racer, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Segni at Coventry.

Best went to the nation’s Number One Terrier, the Smooth Fox, Adam.  Adam & handler Eddie Boyes have stayed pretty close to home this year, but have won 17 big BIS this year, big enough to make Adam the Number 15 Dog All Breeds.

It’s already day two in Lincoln NE for the Cornhusker Kennel Club Of Lincoln, Nebraska.  Today’s final featured the American Water Spaniel, CH Waterway Game Crk Hot Diggity, the Saluki, CH Wild Perfect Drift, the Boxer, GCH CH Sapphires Violet Sky In Vegas Of Streamline, the Smooth Terrier, GCH CH High Mountain Everso’s in Command, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Royalist Ready To Reign, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hot N Spicy, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Enchanted's American Thunder.

Best went to the American Water Spaniel, the only of his breed to win a BIS during the last two years.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Linda & Jon Hattrem & Pamela Boyer.

CUMBERLAND MD DAY ONE

CH Foxcliffe Enchanted Evening

The Laurel Highlands Kennel Association was in Cumberland MD for the first of three shows this weekend.  Thomas Feneis chose his BIS from the Irish Water Spaniel, CH Whistlestop’s Riley On fire, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Foxcliffe Enchanted Evening, the Great Dane, GCH CH Diola’s Start Your Engines, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Cracknor’s Cross The Ts, the Toy Fox terrier, GCH CH Prairie Farm Theo Always On My Mind, the French Bulldog, GCH Lefox Merry Wanna, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.

Back in February Angela Lloyd won the most prestigious award in AKC, Best In Show at the iconic Westminster Kennel Club show, with a Foxcliffe Deerhound.  Today she piloted another beautiful Foxcliffe Deerhound to the BIS.  It’s the first this year for the two year old bitch, who won her first BIS at this show last year.  Congratulations to Angela and breeders/owners Cecilia L Dove & Dr R Scott Dove.

Meanwhile up in West Springfield MA Steven Gladstone was gathering up the Albany Kennel Club’s final seven, the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH K-Line N Cutt’s Beyond-A-Doubt, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Langrigg Star of the Stage, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH D’s Devil Wear Prada, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Maverston’s Double Dutch, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Kimro’s Dora The Explorer, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Hillwood Ale Kai Anthony, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

It was the current Dog News Cover Boy, the Beardie, Roy, taking home his 19th BIS of the year.  It’s the 67th career BIS for Roy, who is the breed’s record holder.

The Gloucester County Kennel Club joined the fray today with their first of two shows this weekend in Buena NJ.  Houston Clark’s final seven included the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Xenos Gimlet, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Castle Rock's Sbigstaff Mad About You, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Georgio Armani,, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Char-Ma’s Chosen One.

It was the nation’s Number Two Sporting Dog, the Springer, Peyton taking home his 14th all breed Best of the year.  Peyton & handler Robin Novack  now join three other dogs who are sitting on the doorstep of the Top Ten waiting for an opportunity to join the elite group.
