MAINE CHECKS IN

We have partial results from Cumberland ME where the temperatures were cool and the competition was hot at the Mid-Coast Kennel Club Of Maine.

CH Reidwood Red Alert

We know five of Nathaniel Horn’s finalist they were the English Setter, CH Reidwood Red Alert, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Of Afrikka Spring Valley Dorian Gray JC, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, and the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk. We also know the BIS winner. That would be the English Setter, Navy. That’s the third all breed BIS for handler Candy Carswell and Navy.

ST HELENS RESULTS

CH Ashton’s Peaceful Easy Feeling

From St Helens OR and the Longview-Kelso Kennel Club we hear that William Bergum’s final included the Irish Setter, CH Ashton’s Peaceful Easy Feeling, the Black & Tan Coonhound, CH Silver Ridge Showtyme At Windbourne, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Perfex Cyclone Mahina, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Arbroath’s Rosewood Rise N’ Shine, the Silky Terrier, CH Bar-B‘s Tawny Mist Topias, and the Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Lakeridge Summer In The Hamptons, and the Rough Collie, CH Gentry’s Braveheart.

His BIS was the Irish Setter, Easi. It was the first BIS this year for Easi and handler Jennifer Holmberg. Easi was bred by Janet Jenkins Hylton, Gary L Hylton & N Godbey and is owned by the Hyltons. Our congratulations to them all.

DOWN ON THE BAYOU


Down in Monroe LA, it was day two of the Bayou Kennel Club and James Reynold’s turn to judge BIS.

CH Rokeena Carte Blanche

His finalists were the Labrador Retriever, CH Salty Dog Of Tampa Bay, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena’s Carte Blanche, the Giant Schnauzer, CH. Lagniappe's All American Girl, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune, the Peingese, CH Franshaw’s Hear Me Roar, the Standard Poodle, CH Donnchada's Sweet Dreams, and yesterday’s BIS winner the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek’s Sangria V Barick.

And it was to be a back2back win for Scott Yergin and his spectacular GSD bitch, Rhea. We have Rhea currently as the number two herding dog and the number 16 dog all breeds.

NEW JERSEY FINALISTS

We now have the rest of the field from today’s Newton Kennel Club’s show. We just told you that the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro’s Soldier Boy, Picked up his first BIS from Dr Robert Smith.

CH Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle

His fellow finalists were the Labrador Retriever, CH Casbar’s Hart To Hart, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Skansen’s C’Sofia Of Grandeur, the Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe’s Merci Pour Le Poivre, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

A first BIS is always memorable, but when it is over four top twenty dogs it is a dog show moment to be treasured.

FIRST TIME BIS WINNER

CH Kimro’s Soldier Boy

We’ve got two BIS to tell you about. The first is from Augusta NJ where the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro’s Soldier Boy, picked up his first all breed BIS today from Dr Robert Smith at the Newton Kennel Club show. Congratulations to Major’s breeders/owners Kimberly A Pastella-Calvacca, R Greenslade & H Schwell and co-woners Dick & Linda Stark. Kim piloted Major to the win.

CH Torquay Midnight Congession

The second went down in Marquette MI at the day two show of the Marquette Kennel Club where Edd Bivin chose the country’s number one 15” Beagle, CH Torquay Midnight Congession, as his Best. This is Lola’s and breeder/owner/handler Marcelo Chagas’ fourth BIS this year. Brava team Lola!

Joe Tacker’s magnificent seven were the Clumber Spaniel, CH Nexus Jazzin’s Jenga, the Saluki, CH Z’Bee Che Bellina Dante, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Valterra’s Irish Joker, the Toy Fox Terrier, CH DynAsty Valcopy What Happens In Vegas, the Dalmatian, CH Anticipation Here's Lucy! , and the Border Collie, CH Hot Shot Wave Chaser.

BIS went to the four year old Kerry Blue. We don’t know much about this guy except he was bred and is owned by Terese Worful/ Congratulations Terese! Send us a photo!

Roger’s final seven were the German Wire Haired Pointer, CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, a boxer not yet identified, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydlae Soldier Of Fortune, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Chinese Shar-Pei, Elite's By Design. and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek’s Sangria V Barick,

Best In Show went to the GSD, Rhea. That’s number ten for the country’s number one German Shepherd.

CH Cornerstone Soliloquy

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Cornerstone Soliloquy, has added BIS number seven to her 2009 resume with the top prize at today’s Marquette Kennel Club show in Marquette MI.

We’ve just heard that the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, has collected her 77th career BIS at today’s Simi Valley Kennel Club in Santa Barbara CA courtesy of Robert Hutton. We are certainly going to close 2009 with another great finish!

They kicked off their four say stop in Amana IA today with the first of the Tri-City Kennel Club’s shows.

BIS was judged by Sally Ray Baugniet. Her finalists included, the Flat Coated Retriever, CH Paradise Dixons Beach, an Afghan Hound to be named later, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Sno Klassic Play The Game, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Cornerstone Tapestry, the English Toy Spaniel, CH Royalist Ready to Reign, an unidentified Standard Poodle, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Al Nair Luck Of The Draw.

Best In Show was the country’s number one Malamute, Player. This is all breed Best number five this year for Player.
