ARIZONA WHITE MOUNTAIN KC

We love those clubs that host shows off the beaten path.  Not only does it give exhibitors an excuse to visit an exotic location, it brings our world to a public that rarely gets to see quality purebred dogs.  One such club, the Arizona White Mountain Kennel Club spent the weekend in Show Low AZ, some 180 miles east northeast of Phoenix.

The seven dogs that made it to judge Alice Inman’s final were the Pointer, GCH CH Solivia's Decadence Of Beagood, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, Raviro Chiposhi Remington Rimfire JC, the Great Dane, GCH CH Tue-J’s Pacific Category Five, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Red Warrior Geneva, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Hitime’s What the Inferno, the Schipperke, GCH CH Fyrstartr’s Paint It Black, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Vista's Wait For The Beep At Mgk.

BIS went to the nine year old Schipperke, Jagger, and RBIS to the Pom, Danny.  It was the first of the year for Jagger.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Donna Simmons.

GCH CH Raviro Chiposhi Remington Rimfire JC

Danny, and the aforementioned Ridgeback would return to the final ring on Sunday to plead their case with judge Jon Cole.  Joining them were the Brittany, GCH CH Sunquest Star Vue’s Special Edition, the Rottweiler, CH Sunbear’s Madagascar RN, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Random Ruse, the Dalmatian, Aberdeen N Cahun New Normal, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Karizma’s Born To Run Kaleef Von Loar.

Going to the head of the line was the Pom, Danny, followed by the Ridgeback, Gunner.  Danny is the country’s Number One Toy Dog and Number Eight Dog All Breeds with 17 BIS this season.

RICHLAND KENNEL CLUB

We are starting our Monday Mop Up out in the Pacific Northwest with a report on the Richland Kennel Club’s two shows in Kennewick WA. Judge George Boulton had the Saturday final and his pick of the Weimaraner, GCH CH Simpatico Equal Justice, the Black & Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Southchase's Wilbert Roy, the Boxer, GCH CH Naja’s Mi-T Alliance, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Pineriver's Show Me The Money, the Japanese Chin, Chiboya NI Kokoro Kitto Gimme A Reisen, the Schipperke, GCH CH Telstar The Way We Wanted It, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside Telltail Coco Posh. 

His Best was the Corgi and his Reserve was the Schipperke. Coco is the nation’s Number One Cardigan Welsh Corgi and the Number Four Herding Dog with eight BIS this year.

Sunday judge Stephanie Hedgepath would see a mostly new seven, the Brittany, GCH CH Sanbar's Ride The Winds, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Bakari's Lor Vitra Caymus CA CGC, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Susitna's Deal Me In, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Cambria’s Kid n Play, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH North Well Vivian Jp Rose Queen, the returning Schipperke, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Sky Acres Maximum Altitude.

She named the Toy Poodle, Rosie, her BIS and the MiniBull, Kid, her RBIS. Both of Rosie’s BIS this year have come in the last month. We are looking forward to seeing this one in Orlando.

AFFENPINSCHER BIS IN ARKANSAS

The Affenpinscher, GCH CH Yarrow's Hi-Tech Ben There Done That, who spends most of his time on the East Coast, has been having an exceptional weekend in Hot Springs AR. On Friday he was judge Ashley Reid’s Group winner at the Toy Dog Club of Central Arkansas limited breed show. Saturday he was Lorraine Boutwell’s Best of Breed at the Affenpinscher Club of America National Specialty on his way to becoming judge Judy Webb’s BIS at the day one show of the Hot Springs National Park Kennel Club.

 Joining Ben in judge Webb’s final were the Parti-Colored Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Monthaven's The Birdcage, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH T4lls Matrix Reloaded, the Boxer, GCH CH Cherkei's Dick Tracey, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Cumhill hell Raiser, the RBIS, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Winning Card, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH McMatt’s Autumn Breeze. 

Ben, son of Westminster Kennel Club BIS winner, GCH CH Banana Joe v Tani Kazari, is AKC’s Number Nine Toy Dog with three BIS this year.

The English springer Spaniel, , was judge Carl Gene Liepmann’s BIS at Saturday’s Rockford-Freeport Illinois Kennel Club show in Freeport IL.

The six dogs challenging Randy for the win were the Basset Hound, GCH CH Kahl Me Foxglen's Cool Dude, the RBIS, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Catera's Keepin' It World Class, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Sharob's Commander In Chief, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Dejavu I Want'A Talk About Me, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Safari's This Side Of Paradise, and the German Shepherd Dog, Lockenhaus Rumor Has It V Kenlyn. Randy is AKC’s Number Five Sporting Dog with nine BIS this year.

MONROE KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

Judge Edd Bivin was in Monroe MI on Saturday for the hometown Monroe Kennel Club’s final. The seven dogs seeking his approval were the Labrador Retriever, CH Banners No Line On The Horizon, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Spirit Ridge Something Royal Of Rustic, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Cambria’s Vraiment Parfait, the Wire Fox Terrier, King Arthur Van Forliny Home, the Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Fiore Viva Lady’s Tresses, the Boston Terrier, CH Weywood’s Wizard Of Menlo Park, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv’s Sultry Sensation. 

GCH CH Spirit Ridge Something Royal Of Rustic 

His Best was the Doberman, Zsa Zsa, his Reserve, the Afghan, Anya. It was the seventh BIS of the year for the nation’s Number Five Working Dog.

JACKSONVILLE DFA DAY ONE

Ocala FL is the site for this weekend’s Jacksonville Dog Fanciers' Association’s two shows. Saturday’s final was in the hands of judge Nathaniel Horn who chose his top two from the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Easthill Broxden Woodland Lettuce Entertain You, the Treeing Walker Coonhound, GCH CH Cherry Creek Confetti, the Mastiff, GCH CH Goldleaf’s Trouble Coming CGC, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Seenworstaff Lucky Me, the Toy Manchester Terrier, GCH CH Rustic Lane Sunshine Daydream, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Lavandaire Storybook Dreams, and a Briard from the classes, Hyssop De Bejaune. 

Taking the top two prizes were the Briard and the Coonhound. It was the first BIS for the owner handled two year old dog. Congratulations to breeder/owner Meg Weitz, co-breeder Michael Greenberg, and owners Jonathan & Christie Daniels. We hope to have photos for you soon.

GCH CH Royalty’s Splash Of Taylor 

The Greater Murfreesboro Kennel Club is hosting two shows in their Tennessee hometown this weekend. Judge Letitia Bett had the Saturday final and her pick of the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Ehrenvogel Achy Breaky Heart, the Saluki, GCH CH Appalachia's Allamyrra Hajji, the Boxer, GCH CH Rummer Run’s Black Magic, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Ciarrai's Beltane Embers, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Royalty’s Splash Of Taylor, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Limelite’s Tenfold. 

GCH CH Rummer Run’s Black Magic 

Finishing one/two were the Dalmatian, Chloe, and the Boxer, Magic. It was the first of the year for the eight year old bitch. Congratulations to breeder/owner Walter Polaski.

WARRENTON KC DAY TWO

 Judge Karen Wilson was in Millwood VA on Saturday to call the final at the Warrenton Kennel Club’s day two show. The seven dogs in her lineup were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Icecream V Tum-Tums Vriendjes, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Dynasty's Husky Lucky Strike, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, the Havanese, GCH CH Ji Jos And Shataras High Voltage, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Topsy Turvey.

Taking the BIS was the Standard Poodle, Dino. Grabbing the RBIS was the Skye, Charlie. It was the sixth BIS of the year for Dino and handler Amy Rutherford.

KANADASAGA KENNEL CLUB

The nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, picked up his third BIS of the week taking the top prize at Saturday’s Kanadasaga Kennel Club show in Romulus NY.

Judge gave Matisse the big rosette after considering the Irish Setter, GCH CH Militza's My Cherie Amour, whom her gave the RBIS, 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin for Trouble, the Welsh terrier, Abbyrose Black Diamond, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, the RBIS, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Puli, GCH CH Wallbanger Fringe. Matisse continues his record setting pace with his 201st career BIS and 106 BIS this year.

The Papillon, GCH CH InVolo The King of Pop, is making the most of his weekend home with his breeder/owner Gia Garofolo, picking up his second consecutive BIS at Saturday’s Suffolk County Kennel Club show in St James NY.

Challenging Jackson for judge Tim Catterson’s favor were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Celtic Thunder, the RBIS, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Black Pearls Avatar Iz Russkoi Dinastii, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Cheron’s Dirty Water, the Shiba Inu, CH Imperial Criminal Mind At Imari, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical's My Turn CGC. 

 Jackson is the country’s Number One Papillon, Number Four Toy Dog, and Number 17 Dog All Breeds with 15 BIS to his credit this year, four with Gia handling.
