ENGLISH SETTER BIS IN OKC

GCH CH Stargazr’n Wingfield Wait Wait Don’t Tell 

 Friday was day three of the Oklahoma City Summer Classic and the Mid-Del Tinker Kennel Club’s turn to host. They asked judge Susan St John-Brown to name a Best In Show from the English Setter, GCH CH Stargazr’n Wingfield Wait Wait Don’t Tell, the Whippet, GCH CH Debmar Lovin’ Dixie SC, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Kelwyn’s GM Freestyle, the Toy Fox Terrier, CH Centennial Farms Catch Me If You Can, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Tang Dynasty Rocky.

Going to the head of the line was the Setter, Teller, followed by the Portie, Matisse. Teller is the nation’s Number Six Sporting Dog with eight BIS and 27 Sporting groups this year.

SMOOTH FOX BEST IN FERNDALE CA

GCH CH Absolutely Talk Of The Town 

We have results from the West Coast and the Lost Coast Kennel Club of California. Lining up for BIS judge Charles Olvis were the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, GCH CH Javahill Surf2 An 8 Second Ride BN, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH M&M's Fear The Beard, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Baron Dye Of Ridgetop, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Absolutely Talk Of The Town, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Kulana's Sh-Boom, Bulldog, CH Rambling Fever Pretty Fly For A White Guy, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Travler Kelise Overdrive. 

GCH CH Baron Dye Of Ridgetop 

 Finishing one/two were the Smooth Fox, Taylor, and Bullmastiff, Baron. Taylor is out every weekend, but she still has managed four BIS and 15 Terrier Groups making her the nation’s Number One Smooth Fox Terrier.

GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie 

After a two day break, fanciers are back in Richmond VA for today’s Southern Maryland Kennel Club show. Today’s final was in the hands of judge Dennis Gallant who chose his top two from the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Fieldstone Carousel Hell's Kitchen, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Mastiff, GCH CH Goldleaf's Trouble Coming CGC, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Starfire's Spank Me Hard Call Me Crazy, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Cherry Garcia, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Woodsides Megabucks.

The two he liked were the Skye Terrier, Charlie, and the GSD, Megabucks. We have a fierce battle for Number One Terrier this year. Charlie started the week as the Number Two Terrier and the Number Seven Dog All Breeds with 14 BIS and 53 Terrier Groups. We will wait until the end of the weekend to see if that changes.

We have plenty of action all over the United States today. In Lima OH the Sandusky Kennel Club put judge Donna Buxton in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, CH Crossroad Jockeyhill on the Green, the Whippet GCH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen’s Holy Knight, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab's Bayleigh Maid Of Honor, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Loujon Thornwood Little Jacob, the Dalmatian, CH Bret D N Troika N Engine Co Timeless Keepsake, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It V Kenlyn.

 Her BIS was the GSD, Rumor, and her RBIS was the Welsh Terrier, Jennie. It’s the third BIS in 18 trips to the final ring this year for Rumor.

Judge Whitney Coombs was in in Wrentham MA to call today’s Hockamock Kennel Club final. His seven hopefuls were the English Setter, GCH CH Weymouth’s En Fuego, the Pharaoh Hound, DC Hallam's Jake Of Arolet SC, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Marben's Ruffian, the Colored Bull Terrier, Notorious Never Say Never, the Pug, GCH CH Charchen's Billy The Kid, the Keeshond, GCH CH Nightwind’s Little Ricky, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect.

The two he liked were the Pharaoh Hound, Jake, and the English Setter, Blaze. It was the first BIS of the year for Jake. Congratulations to breeders/owners Dominic Carota & Dr Stephen Sipperly.

PWD BIS IN OKC AGAIN

The country’s Number One Dog all Breeds, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, made it two in a row in Oklahoma City, taking Thursday’s BIS at the Lawton Dog Fanciers Association show. Joining Matisse in judge Clay Coady’s final were the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Iceage V Tum-Tums Vriendjes, the RBIS, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Kelwyn’s GM Freestyle, the Maltese, GCH CH Ta-Jon’s Sugar Dumplin’, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi , GCH CH Riverside Telltail Coco Posh. 

The BIS extends Matisse’s winning streak to four BIS and his 2014 record to 65 BIS and 84 Working Groups.

OES BEST IN MASSACHUSETTS

GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect 

Our first report today comes in from the Wampanoag Kennel Club who opened a four day set in Wrentham MA. Judge David Ojalvo had the opening final and his pick of the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Celtic Thunder, the Pharaoh Hound, DC Hallam's Jake Of Arolet SC, the Boxer GCH Jacquet's Annie El Encanto, the West Highland White Terrier, GCH CH Holyrood's Here Comes The Son @ Briarton, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Marlex Call Me La Lupe, the Dalmatian, CH Blackberry N Riverside Perfect Pemigewasset, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect. 

GCH CH Cerise Celtic Thunder 

His Best was the country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the OES, Swagger. Reserve went to the Springr, Liam. Mark that as Swagger’s 39th BIS in 71 final appearances this year.

OKC SUMMER CLASSIC BEGINS!

Oklahoma City has long been a major dog show destination and this year the Oklahoma City Summer Classic has been extended to five all breed shows. Thus it is no surprise that several of our top dogs, including members of the Top Ten Dogs All Breed, rendezvoused in the Sooner State this week. 

GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome 

Three of the Top Ten made it to judge Gloria Geringer’s final at today’s Lawton Dog Fanciers Association show, the Number One Dog, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Number Three Dog, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Number Four Dog, the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome. Rounding out her seven were the Pharaoh Hound, CH Farao Anubis Inferno, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Kelwyn’s GM Freestyle Flyer, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Zen’s Cirque du Solei, and the Pembroke welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Moon River. 

Her BIS was the Number One Dog, the PWD, Matisse, and her RBIS was the Number Four Dog, the Brittany, Beckett. Matisse is already the Number One Working Dog of all time and is on pace to have another record breaking year with 64 BIS in 83 final appearances half way through the year.

MONTANA MARATHON CLOSER

GCH CH Aashtoria Wildhunt Hidden Agenda 

The Montnana Marathon ended its eight day journey in Missoula MT with the day three show of the Five Valley Kennel Club. Judge Col Joe Purkhiser had the final final and his pick of the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Hill-N-Don & Canyonwood Seemore of Me, the Borzoi, GCH CH Aashtoria Wildhunt Hidden Agenda, the Akita, GCH CH Mojo's Continuation Of A Myth, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Full Throttle’s Wee Drop of Mischief O’Kilcregg, the Pug, GCH CH Winsome-Nirvana-Blaque Triple Play, the Bichon Frise, CH Newtnine Crown of Queen, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH PaRay Preferential.

Taking home the set’s last BIS was the Borzoi, Casper. Packing up his second RBIS of the stop was the Pug, Slugger, It was the first BIS this year for Casper. Congratulations to breeders/owners Robin & Charles Riel, co-breeder G Ariel Duncan, owner Stuart McGraw, and handler Lisa Haney.

AKITA BIS IN VIRGINIA

GCH CH CR-Wicca's Trade Secret 

The Gloucester Kennel Club of Virginia closed the four day First Colony Cluster today with judge Donna Buxton in the final ring. The seven dogs that stayed to the end to join her were the English Setter, GCH CH Weymouths En Fuego, the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH GCH Treis Pinheiros Buona Sera SW, Akita, GCH CH CR-Wicca's Trade Secret, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Good Time Charlie, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Yarrow’s Hi-Tech Ben There Done That, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Kan Sing's Po-Ba-Ri At Arundina, and the Finnish, Lapphund Lumiturpa Tapakka. 

GCH CH Weymouths En Fuego 

Packing up the set’s last big rosette was the Akita, Trader. Taking home the Reserve ribbon was the Setter, Blaze. Trader is the nation’s Number Two Working Dog and Number Nine Dog All Breeds with ten BIS and 27 Working Groups this year.
