MASTIFF BIS IN LOUISIANA



GCH CH Willow Ridge’s Risky Business

Judge Beverly Capstick had the last call at yesterday’s Alexandria Kennel Club show in that Louisiana town.  The seven hoping to impress her were the Pointer, GCH CH. Chesterhope State Of T Art, the Whippet, GCH CH Karasar’s Masterpiece, the Mastiff, GCH CH Willow Ridge’s Risky Business, the Glen of Imaal Terrier, GCH CH Finnabair Ardmore Ned, the Shih Tzu, CH Zephyr Monogram Maybe Marilyn, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do You Know The Way To San Jose, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Topsy Turvey.

Getting the big rosette was the biggest dog, the Mastiff, Kruz.  Copping the Reserve ribbon was the Shar-Pei, Josie.  It was the second of the year for Kruz who also has an RBIS to his credit this year.

GCH CH Appassionato Jp Monamour’s Star

Where better to start our Monday Morning Mop Up than the Heartland?  The St Charles Missouri Kennel Club   held their two shows this weekend in Lake St Louis MO.  Day one ended with judge Roger Hartinger in the final ring with the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Brookshire Confetti Rhinestone Cowboy, the 15” Beagle, CH Ornre One Dixieland Delight, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Valle D’Aspe Scandelous Affair, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Appassionato Jp Monamour’s Star, the Brussels Griffon, CH Fist Face Reloaded, the Bichon Frise, CH Bodacious Moon Reflection, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv’s Sultry Sensation.

Picking up the BIS was the Russell, Tribute.  Collecting the RBIS was the Golden, Rodeo.  It was the second BIS for Tribute and his first this year.  Tribute is one of only two Russell Terriers to have ever won an AKC BIS.   Congratulations to breeder Kazou Abe and owners Dr Allan Hargrave & Christina Areskough.

Tribute and Rodeo would return to the final ring on Sunday to try their luck with judge Andre Schoen.  They were joined by the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Vinla’s LA Ink, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Vondura’s Xcelerator Belle Amie, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Fist Face A Penny For Your Thought, the aforementioned Bichon, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH McMatt’s Autumn Breeze.

It was a good day for Rodeo, who grabbed the Best and the Griff, Penny, who scampered away with the Reserve.  It was the first BIS for the 23 month old dog.  Congratulations to breeder Julie Guay and owners Ken & Judy Schlechtand .

GCH CH Take Aim's Playing For Gryffindor

Out in the wonderland that is San Francisco the second day of the Golden Gate Kennel Club has just wrapped.  Judge Edd  Bivin considered the Weimaraner, GCH CH Simpatico Simple Justice, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH  Westwood Regulus O' Conghaile, the Akita, GCH CH Redwitch Adreneline Junkie, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Michan's Mick Like A Rolling Stone, the Chinese Crested, CH Kulana's Sh-Boom, the French Bulldog, GCH CH LeBull's El Morocco At LeCirque, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Take Aim's Playing For Gryffindor.

Finishing one/two as  they did the day before were the Bouvier,  Gryf, and the Crested, Holly.  That’s four BIS this year for Gryf.  Do you have your seat reserved at the Herding Group judging at next month’s Westminster Kennel Club show?

GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded

The Charleston Kennel Club wrapped their two day stop in  Ladson SC, putting judge Sari Brewster Tietjen in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Sentinel, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Highlander’s Rumour Has It, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J'Cobe Broxden Shark Dressed Man, the Pug, GCH CH Caper's Sirius Endeavor, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Hi Tide Catch The Summer Wind, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Briarbrook's Nightline

The two she liked were the Afghan, Matrix, and the Smooth Fox, Bruce.  It was the fifth BIS of the year for Matrix and handler Christian Manelopoulos.

The Boxer, GCH CH Brisbane "N" Blue Monday's Diamonds Are Decadent , and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Collinswood Sparks Fly, repeated their Saturday BIS and RBIS wins at today’s Erie Kennel Club show in Erie PA.

Also vying for judge Catherine Bell’s attention were  the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop's Riley On Fire, the 15” Beagle, CH Bridgehill's Mr. Mason's Misbehavin', a Colored Bull Terrier from the classes, Action Spark Of The Divine CA, the Shih Tzu, CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, and the Bichon Frise, CH Barberry's Take A Chance On Me.  We shall keep our eye on these two.
