WIRE FOX IS BEST IN FORT WAYNE IN

The Number One Dog All Breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, returned to her winning ways, taking the top prize at Saturday’s Marion Kennel Club show in Fort Wayne IN.

Judge James Fredricksen picked Sky out of a seven that included the American Water Spaniel, GCH CH Waterway Game CRK Hot Diggity JH, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queen’s Armada SL, his RBIS, the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore Diamond Lil, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Jolei Hallmark Bells Will Be Ringing, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Litilann’s Showtime, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables The Frat Boy.

While Sky leads all dogs with over 94,000 dogs defeated, she trails the Number Two Dog, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, in number of BIS.  Yesterday’s win was Sky’s 71st BIS in 121 trips to the final ring this year, just four BIS behind the Portie, Matisse.

GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box

The Number One Hound in the US, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, picked up the BIS at yesterday’s Oak Ridge Kennel Club show in Knoxville TN.  Judge Thomas Kirstein would also like the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, for his RBIS.

Rounding out the final seven were the Pointer, GCH CH Oncore Mykyna Storm, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Kenro’s Witching Hour, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the French Bulldog, CH Starcreek’s May I Have This Dance, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Jesstar Nirvana.

The win will move the Foxhound, Jewel, back into the Top Five Dogs All Breeds.  It was her 30th BIS and 92nd Hound Group this year.

The nation’s Number Three Dog All Breeds, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, made it back2back BIS in Virginia Beach VA, taking yesterday’s Best In Show at the day two show of the Tidewater Kennel Club of Virginia.  Also hoping for Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine’s favor were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Militza’s My Cherie Amour, the Irish Wolfhound, GCH CH Dun Myrica Doctor Gonzo Of Eagle, her RBIS, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab's Bayleigh Maid Of Honor, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Kan Sing Tenzin, and the Briard, GCH CH Ne Orageux s Flash Point.

Classie and owner/handler Armando Angelbello are enjoying a record setting year as the Number One Toy Dog with 54 BIS and 105 Toy Groups.

GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire

The Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire, kept up the pressure on AKC’s Top Five with her second consecutive BIS in Milford NH.  Joining Riley in yesterday’s  Framingham District Kennel Club final were the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Monkham’s Famous Grouse, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Tiburon Ariel Bella Dona, the Airedale Terrier, CH Raynaire V Crescents Secret Storm, judge Clay Coady’s RBIS, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Krissy’s Savy Jasper, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Rinchen’s Blazing Black Icon, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy Of Merivern.

With 18 BIS and 63 Sporting Groups Riley is now within 500 points of the Number One Sporting Dog, the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Collaboration with Traddles.

POINTER BIS IN KNOXVILLE

Dr Steven Keating was in Knoxville TN yesterday to call the BIS for the Tennessee Valley Kennel Club.  His options were the Pointer, GCH CH Oncore Mykyna Storm, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Kenro's Witching Hour, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Bret D Gabriel’ s Lost Art CD BN RAE RD CGC, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside Get Over It.

Finishing one/two were the Pointer, Stormy, and the Pug, Rufus.  It was Stormy’s second BIS in 14 final outings this year.
