FIRST TIMER BACK2BACK BIS

GCH CH Folklore Celtic Crossfire Trail

We had an owner handled Irish Water Spaniel, CH Beaufield's Boundary Waters at Pooles Ide, give us back2back BIS at the Rochester Minnesota Kennel Club this weekend.  Lake and owner Debbie Patterson  were the ones to which Sari Tietjen pointed at Saturday’s final.  Judge Tietjen also chose the Dalmatian, GCH CH Folklore Celtic Crossfire Trail, as her Reserve Best In Show.  Rounding out the day one seven were the Greyhound, CH Lorricbrook Royal Picture, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Vondura's Exeleration Belle Amie, the Australian Terrier, GCH CH Dunham Lake Scout Master, the Shih Tzu, Symarun Loves Me Tender, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Margaux's Takes Two To Tango.

Lake would be the only of Saturday’s finalists to make it back to see BIS judge Gale Young on Sunday.  Judge Young would like Lake more than she liked the Pug, GCH CH Moonstruck’s In The Pocket!, whom she liked more than the English Foxhound, Tallis Au Birchwood Tamsall, the Newfoundland, CH Castanefwf’s Kodiak Bear, the Miniature Schnauzer, Pride’s It Started With A Whisper, the Lhasa Apso, CH Shoyu Blowin’ My Horn At Orlane, or the Briard, GCH CH Lightning Strike El Xargall.

Lake, who is not yet two years old, showed promise early taking Winners Dog and an Award of Merit at the national specialty of the Irish water Spaniel Club of America back in April.  Congratulations to Debbie, breeder/owner  Bridget Kvarnlov, and owner Gregory Siner. We hope to ahve a photo of Lake for you soon.

MANITOWOC COUNTY KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Nonnies No Doubt

As much as we have become accustomed to four & five day clusters, we still love our hometown two day events.  They’re like family gatherings where a few out of town visitors drop in.  One such gathering was the Manitowoc County Kennel Club’s two shows in that Wisconsin town.

Judge Christine Salyers-Anderson had the day one final and her pick of the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Nonnies No Doubt, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Elmo's Martian Chronicles, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Storm Kloud's Test of Time, the  Bedlington Terrier, CH Kaylynn's Stroll in the Park, the Maltese, CH Fletcher Andes, the Bichons Frise, GCH CH Heights Sweet Willy, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv's Live the Dream.

Finishing one/two were the English Cocker and the Maltese.  It’s the second of the year for the Cocker, Stevie, and handler Tony Vacha.

On Sunday Steven Gladstone would get a mostly new seven, the Golden Retriever , GCH CH  Summits Emery It’s In The Bag, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Tajamani Kwetu's Rust Too, the Boxer, GCH CH Nantess Caleno Numero Uno, the Wrest Highland White Terrier, GCH CH Devonshire Out Of The Starting Gate, the above named Maltese, the Xoloitzcuintli, CH Blanch-Os Lolita At Dreamstar, and the Belgian Malinois, GCH CH Mystique's Son Of A Beach BN RN CGC.

His Best was the Ridgeback, his Reserve, the Malinois,  We believe this to be the first for the five year old Ridgeback dog.  Congratulations to breeders Mary E Gauthier & Michael Teeling, owner/handler  Diane Engelking, and owners Joan Morrone & Barbara-Sawyer Brown.
