FIRST TIMER IN FITCHBURG MA

Joe Walton closed the Merrimack Valley Kennel Club’s two day set in Fitchburg MA today.  The seven he considered were the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley On Fire, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Soonipi Friends In Low Places MLH, the Akita, GCH CH CR - Wicca's Trade Secret, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me A Spot, the Maltese, GCH CH Richelieu’s Here Comes Trouble Again, the Schipperke, GCH CH De LaMer Black Ice, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Dunhill Celebration.

Taking home the last two prizes of the stop were the Schipperke, Ice, with the Reserve, and the Bloodhound, Garth, who collected the Best In Show.  It’s the first AKC BIS for Garth, who had four Hound Groups in 2012.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Karen Dewey & Sandra Katos.

The Land O’Lakes Kennel Club closed their two day set in St Paul MN today with Judith Brown in the final ring.  Her seven supplicants were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Bloodhound, CH Citation’s First And Foremost, the Samoyed, CH Celticfrost Kodiak Bear, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH High Mountain Everso In Command, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Fist Face A Penny For Your Thoughts, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Mapleaf Don’t Stop Believin In Sunrun, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Spirit Woods Gandalf The Blue.

Her RBIS was yesterday’s BIS, the Beardie, Gunner.  Her  BIS was the Springer, Peyton.  Peyton was 2012’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, with 63 BIS.    Congratulations to breeders Billie, Erin, & Charlie Kerfoot & Ruth Kirby, owners Celie Florence, Beth Fink,  Erin Kerfoot, PhD, Ken Goodhue-McWilliams, PhD, & Delores Strength, and handler Robin Novack.

GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici

The last seven to pack up today at the day two show of the Rubber City Kennel Club in Tallmadge OH were the Pointer, GCH CH Oncore Mykyna Storm, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Pem We-Syng Lucky Mi, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Hillwood Dassin Rock On By, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH C And J Silver Charm Of Chrysalis. 

Steven Gladstone’s RBIS was the Standard Poodle, and his BIS was the Doberman.   The Doberman, FiFi, 2012’s Number Three Dogs All Breed’s with 46 BIS to her credit, capped the year with a BBE BIS at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. Congratulations to breeders/owners Jocelyn & Kevin Mullins and owners Suzy & Dick Lundy.

CH Dawin Hearts on Fire

Bill Shelton closed the two set for Greater Daytona Dog Fanciers Association in Deland FL today.  The seven dogs hoping to make an impression were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Bahama Sands, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression De Matisse, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts On Fire, and a Puli from the classes, Cordmaker Topsy Turvey.

Taking home the top prizes were the Cocker, Beckham, who took the Reserve ribbon, and the Standard Poodle, Flame, who copped the Best In Show.  Flame was a mid-season debutante last year, collecting five big rosettes.  Congratulations breeder/owner Linda Campbell and handler Sarah Perchick.

GCH CH Harmony Hills Money Talks

Texans are in Glen Rose, 75 miles southwest of Dallas, this weekend for the Nolan River Kennel Club’s two shows.  Yesterday’s final found Doris Cozart in the final ring with the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Cajun's A Change Is Gonna Come, the 15” Beagle, CH Titus Rough And Tumble, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Ecko Ridge's Big Easy Fast And Furious, the Standard Manchester Terrier, CH Wilane´s All We R Is Dust In The Wind, the Toy Poodle, Donnchada Angel Wings At Dulcinea, the Finnish Spitz, GCH CH Finnkkila's Nalle Poike, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Harmony Hills Money Talks.

Her top two were the Spitz, Villi, who took the RBIS, and the Aussie, Cash, who collected his first BIS of the year.  Cash finished 2012 as the country’s Number One Australian Shepherd with eight BIS and 28 Herding Groups.
