Our second group tonight is the Terrier Group judged by
Peggy Beisel-McIlwaine. The Terrier
Group today was huge with over 500 entered.
Unlike some other groups we had most of our top ranked Terriers here
this weekend. The four that made it to
the top of the heap were the Wirehaired Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting
the Sky, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Simply Sinful, the WelshTerrier,
GCH CH Sharireab’s Bayleigh Maid of Honor, and the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH
Londview Clementina.

2012 AENC WORLD CHALLENGE
GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction
Next on the AENC schedule tonight is the finals of the World
Challenge, an event unlike any we see anywhere other than this weekend. Portuguese Judge Luis Miguel V Pinto Texeria
was presented with 13 finalists from all over the globe. His First Place went to the Standard Poodle
representing the United States, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, the Runner Up (second
place to us) ribbon went to the Swedish Saluki, CH Shiraz California Dreamin’,
the First Runner Up (third place) prize went to the Pembroke Welsh Corgi from Russia,
Andol Pinkerton.
2012 AENC HERDING GROUP
GCH CH Rocheuses Me and My Shadow of Cornus
Now that the national rankings race has been decided we can
turn our full attention to the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship (AENC). Last night the winners of the Sporting, Hound,
Toy, and Non-Sporting Groups were crowned.
Tonight we start with the Herding Group judged by James
Fredericksen. One of the interesting
things in this weekend’s judging is that several dogs started to appear that
had not been at the preliminaries.
One of those dogs that we had not seen this week was the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Rocheuses Me and My Shadow of Cornus. Today Casper took the breed over BIS winnign competition and went on to a Herding Group 1, followed by the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus, the Rough Collie, GCH CH Wyndlair Cherokee Vindication, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.

We don’t have the complete results in, but we wanted to let
you know that the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver
Charm, has just been awarded Best In Show by judge Dennis McCoy at the Delaware
Water Gap Kennel Club show in Allentown PA.
The win worth over 1300 points will make Oakley the 2012 Number One Dog
All Breeds. Congratulations to breeders Claire
Wisch, Kelly Wisch, & Helen George, owner Victor Malzoni Jr, and handler
Phil Booth.

The National Title of Number One Dog All Breeds was decided
today at the Western Reserve Kennel Club show today in Cleveland. Sandy Wheat handed the big rosette to the
Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, and the Reserve ribbon to the Shih
Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing, while the Number Two Dog All
Breeds, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova,
watched.

Rounding out the final seven were the Boxer, GCH CH Draco
Greets Dassin With Fourbears, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus,
the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dassin Hillwood Rock On By, and the Briard, GCH CH
Lightning Strike El Xargall.
While the bad news is that the Springer will fall short of
catching the Number One Dog, GCH CH Mt View's Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the good news is the win should be sufficient to put
the Harrier, Chet, into the prized Top Ten, subject to final verification.

As we told you yesterday, a few of our Top Dogs are not here
in Orlando competing at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. The Number One Dog All Breeds, GCH CH Mt View’s
Ripsnorter Silver Charm, was in Allentown PA yesterday at the Lehigh Valley Kennel
Club show picking up a Sporting Group 1.
He was joined in judge Richard Powell’s final by the country’s Number Nine
Dog, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Doberman
Pinscher, GCH CH D’s Remember When, the Colored Bull Terrier, GCH CH Banbury
Bedrock Bright Star Bright, the Pekingese, CH Yakee’s Easily Persuaded, the Dalmatian,
GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Devinwood A Perfect
Stranger.
Judge Powell’s Top two were the Bull Terrier, who got the
Reserve, and the Foxhound, who t0ok the Best In Show. Jewel’s 33rd BIS of the year moves
her past the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, into the Number
