CH Clayfield Good Day Sunshine

The place to be in the Pacific Northwest last weekend was Monroe WA where the Whidbey Island Kennel Club hosted two shows.  The German Shepherd Dog, CH Clayfield Good Day Sunshine, dominated the weekend taking both of the BIS.

On Saturday Barbara Ann Langlois had the day on final, choosing Bentley and her Reserve, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Charisma Maxim Von Diable, over the English Setter, GCH CH Shadowland's Paws For Applause At Tristar RN, the Scottish Deerhound, Hollywood Salome, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, CH Doubloon's Extreme Play, the Maltese, CH Maltangel Heavenly Vision, and the Boston Terrier, Mtnview And Dorkays No Tell Motel. 

GCH CH Stormhill's Sweet Dreams of Rafica

Sunday Lee Brown would go with Bentley and the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Stormhill's Sweet Dreams of Rafica.  Also asking for consideration were the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mountain View National Acclaim, the Saint Bernard, GCH CH Lasquite's Denver V Lucas, the Norwich Terrier, Sea of Flames, the Toy Fox Terrier, GCH  CH Jane's Christmas Gift, and the Chow Chow, Moonshine's Stolen Moments.

We believe this is Bentley’s first AKC BIS.  Congratulations to breeders N Wallace, A Likens Sharon Avery and owners J Hamasaki A Likens & Michael Avery.

On Saturday Ally and handler Tim Brazier impressed Virginia Lynne more than did the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Carben Copy's If The Shoe Fits who impressed her more than the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistle Stop's Wind on the Water, the Basenji, GCH CH Jasiri-Sukari Win Tin Tin, the Great Pyrenees, Karolaska Tor Hermes of Shadowrun, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Friendship Hill Stars And Stripes, or the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Chase What Matters.

Sunday, Ally and the aforementioned Pom, Chase, claimed the top two awards from BIS judge Dennis McCoy while the above named Basenji, Great Pyrenees, & Cattle Dog, the English Setter, GCH CH Palisades B52, and the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Fortune In My Eyes, watched.

It was the third consecutive BACK2BACK BIS performance for Ally & Tim, bringing their 2012 BIS total to 23 through last weekend.

Great Plains fanciers were treated to four shows in Omaha NE last week by the Nebraska Kennel Club & the Council Bluffs Kennel Club and one of our Top Ten made the most of the stop.  The Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, picked up three BIS and one RBIS over the set.

The  NKC started it off on Thursday and asked Jane Forsyth to choose her top two from the Brittany, GCH CH Trio's Mr. Rocktober, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, GCH CH Shandalee Rocket Science, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Symarun's Love T'Look, the Standard Poodle, London, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Daybar For Your Eyes Only.  Going Reserve to London was the Shih Tzu, Looker.

On Friday Gene Blake would choose London and the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, as his Best and Reserve out of a seven that included the Vizsla, GCH CH Nyircsaszari Sizlva Palinka JH, the Mastiff, GCH CH Jadems Oliver Twist, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Cumhill Hellraiser, the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla Small Kraft Re-Lit, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Wyndlair Cherokee Vindication.

Saturday Bob Smith would say ditto choosing London and Mowgli as his Top Two while the aforementioned Vizsla, Kuvasz, StaffyBull, & Beardie, and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Miletree Northern Star at Shirmont looked on.  The three BIS brings to 37 the number of all breed bests for London through last weekend.

Sunday, the above named Maltese would return to grab the last BIS of the set while London added the Reserve ribbon to his three big rosettes.   Also pleading their case with BIS judge Marjorie Tuff were the now familiar Vizsla, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Orisis Cowboy Casanova, the Boxer, GCH CH Sapphires Violet Sky In Vegas Of Streamline, the Border Terrier, CH Standishs N Webe Believe It Or Not, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Dawn Heir's He's The Boss!.  Hank is AKC’s Number One Maltese and Number Four Toy Dog with 12 BIS and 47 Toy Groups.

As the temperatures turn chilly, exhibitors start flocking to the Florida dog shows.  This past week saw the Seminole Dog Fanciers Association and the Greater Ocala Dog Club team up for four shows.

The seven dogs that made it to the SDFA’s day one final were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Northwoods Send Money Honey, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Whirlaway's Ida Belle's A Ringing, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Cambria’s Mint Condition, the Skye Terrier, CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius endeavor, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dacun Kaylen's He's A Heartbreaker, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Equinox The Edge Of Reason RE.   Robert Vandiver’s BIS and RBIS were the Ridgeback, Ida Belle, and the Doberman, Vega.  Ida Belle is the country’s Number One Rhodesian Ridgeback with four BIS and 22 Hound Groups this year.

Dr Wanda Spediacci had Friday’s final and her choice of the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Reece afterhours The Buck stops Here JH, the Bluetick Coonhound, GCH CH Charwin Fairmont Sweet Society Blue Snuff, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH D’s Remember When, the aforementioned Skye Terrier, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the above named Standard Poodle, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.  She gave the BIS to the GWP, Truman, and the RBIS to the Skye, Barrie.

Both Truman and Barrie would be back on Saturday to see BIS judge William de Villanueve along with the returning MinPin, the Standard Poodle, & GSD, the Harrier, CH Tallyho The Time of My Life, and the Great Dane, GCH CH Raintree Erinwood Dixie For Heavens Sake.

Picking up the biggest prize was the smallest dog, the MinPin, Classie, while the Reserve would got to the biggest dog, the Dane,  Jordan.  Classie is the nation’s Number One Miniature Pincher, Number Two Toy Dog, and Number Six Dog All Breeds with 28 BIS and an outstanding 95 Toy Groups.

Dan Cline had the closer and the now familiar GWP, Ridgeback, Skye, Pug, & GSD, the Portuguese water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression De Matisse, and the Standard Poodle, Kaylen's Gulfbreeze Lunar Eclipse.  Picking up the BIS & RBIS were the GWP, Truman, and the Ridgeback, Ida Belle.  The two BIS bring Truman’s 2012 resume to 14 BIS and 52 Sporting Groups.  Four of those BIS have come within the last two weekends.
