GREATER VENICE DOG CLUB 2

Our next report comes in from the Sunshine State where the Greater Venice Dog Club closed the four day set Sunday in Arcadia FL.  Doris Cozart had the closer and her choice of the Vizsla, GCH CH Regal Point Pinnacle Of Kilauea JH, the 15” Beagle, CH K-Run Lanbur The Truth All Around, the Boxer, CH Moon Valley Momentum, the Skye Terrier, CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Bandog Bayou’s The Warrior, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Copperidge’s Sugar N Spice.

The two standing alone at the end of the day were the RBIS, the Boxer, Drew, and the BIS, the MinPin, Classie.  Classie has moved into the Number Six All Breeds spot, just behind the Number One Toy Dog.  Can she catch him before the end of the year?  We will be the first to tell you.

GCH CH Vovelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk

The Mason City Kennel Club was in is Iowa hometown this weekend for two shows and the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vovelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, made the most of the stop, taking both of the BIS.

Saturday Dr Carol White-Moser chose Honor over the American Water Spaniel, GCH CH Waterway Game Crk Hot Diggity JH, her RBIS, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queens Amada SL, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Hemlock's Jack of Hearts RA, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Simply Sinful, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCHCH We-Syng Royal Etiquette, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Duwest Jackrabbit.

On Sunday Honor and handler Lisa Bettis were Houston Clark’s pick over the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Nexus Total Eclipse, the above named Dachshund, Cheese, the Reserve winner, the previously mentioned Rottweiler, Trapper, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Tradewind Amazing Grace, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Frontier's License To Carry At Margaux.  

Honor and Lisa have collected five BIS so far this year and have an amazing 61 Non-Sporting Groups, more than any other dog in the group, save one.

The Lizard Butte Kennel Club had the last two days of the four day set in Boise ID and Carl Gomes had their first final.  The seven hoping to cop one of the two top prizes were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Bahama Sands, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Steinhaus Maxim Courage RN, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH High Mountain Everso in Comman, the Pug, GCH CH Winsome-Nirvana-Blaque Triple Play, the Miniature Poodle, Kadansk Legendary Storm, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Hatch Tillie de la Salsa.

Finishing one/two were the Schnauzer and the Pug.  It’s the first BIS for the Standard Schnauzer, Kirby.  Congratulations to breeder Heather Pedersen, owners Donald & Dorla Morse, and handler Bill McFadden.

Melanie Williams had the final final and her choice of the same Springer, Schnauzer, & Pug, the Harrier, GCH CH Hitech Innovator, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Boston Terrier, GCH CH Ken's N' Roobarb N' The Horse Ya Rode In On, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Mariel’s Harvest Moon. 

She would choose kennel mates, the Harrier, Chet, and the MiniBull, Simon, as her BIS & RBIS.  Chet is the Number Two Hound and the Number 14 Dog All Breeds with 15 BIS this season.

The country’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, extended his lead with his fourth consecutive BIS.  Oakley and handler Phil Booth closed the four day set in Augusta NJ, taking home the big rosette at yesterday’s Ramapo Kennel Club show.

Also pleading their case with judge Thora Brown were the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Reserve Winner, the Samoyed, GCH CH McMagic’s Candied Ham of Pebbles’Run, the Irish Terrier,  GCH CH Kells Touch Of Fleet St, the Havanese, GCH CH Viva’s Angus Khan, the Shiba Inu, GCH CH Yuko’s Chief Red Eagle, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Milas Latin Lover.

Oakley and Phil have set the bar this year with their 57 BIS, but the race for Number One Dog is still incredibly close.

Here in Tennessee the dog show action this past weekend was in Nashville with the Kennel Club with one of the longest names in AKC, the  Tri-Star Kennel Club of Williamson County, Tennessee.

Keke Kahn closed Saturday’s show in the company of the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Reece afterhours The Buck Stops Here JH, the Whippet, GCH CH Bo-Bett Speed Demon, the Boxer, GCH CH Ho-Pa’s Grand Slam, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, MiRos Secret Agent Of Jetstaff, the Havanese, GCH CH Harbor's It Had To Be Me, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Pyrenean Shepherd, GCH CH La Brise Sun Bear. 

Here Top two were her Reserve, the Standard Poodle, London, and the Best In Show, the GWP, Truman.  Truman has been turning up the volume lately picking up three of his nine BIS this year in the last three weeks.

GCH CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder 

Truman, London, and the above named Whippet & Havanese, were all back on Sunday to see BIS judge Judy Webb.  Joining them were the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Nfoakixa Over The Rainbow, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Friendship Hill Stars And Stripes, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.

Taking home the top two prizes were the Poodle, London, with the BIS, and the OES, Elvis with the RBIS.  London and handler Ann Rairigh now have 30 BIS on the year.

NATIONAL CAPITAL KENNEL CLUB

Lois Sanford was in West Friendship MD Sunday for the final of the National Capital Kennel Club.  Joining her were the Spinoni Italiano, GCH CH Sweetbriar’s Excalibur Niccolo Massimiliano, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Doberman Pinscher, Cha-Rish She's In’Command, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Joval’s On Angel’s Wings, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari.  The Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Whisperwood’s Wild Horse.

GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box

Her RBIS was the nation’s Number One Hound, the Foxhound, Jewel, and her BIS was the country’s Number One Toy Dog, the Affenpinscher, Joey.  Joey is AKC’s Number Five Dog all Breeds with 32 BIS this season.
