FOUR SHOW FRENZY

Cabin of Abraham Lincoln's Birth

This is a good week to get out to an AKC show as there are lots of shows in lots of places.  Multiple show clusters will be the rule and we will have some of the biggest numbers of the year.

Here in the South the place to be starting tomorrow is Atlanta GA where they will get started with three limited breed shows, the North Georgia Hound Association, the Atlanta Terrier Club, & the Greater Atlanta Toy Dog Association will all host.  The remaining four groups will join them for the next three days for the Douglasville Kennel Club Of Georgia, the Atlanta Kennel Club, & the Newnan Kennel Club shows.  Out on the West Coast, it will be one of the biggest entries of the year for the Skyline Dog Fanciers Of San Mateo County & Del Valle Dog Club Of Livermore four shows.  The SDFSMC will take the field on Thursday & Friday, then 13 different specialty clubs will hold sway on Saturday, after which the DVDCL will do a Sunday/Monday thing.

You can get four show clusters in four different locations.  Starting tomorrow we have the Rapid City Kennel Club in their South Dakota the Stephenville Kennel Club Of Texas & the Bell County Kennel Club in Belton TX, the Cornhusker Kennel Club Of Lincoln, Nebraska & the Platte Valley Kennel Club Of Fremont Nebraska hosting in Lincoln NE.  The Mattoon Kennel Club, the Sandemac Kennel Club, & the Illinois Capitol Kennel Club will kick off their four days on Friday in Abraham Lincoln’s hometown, Springfield IL

Three shows will be the rule on the East Coast where West Springfield MA will host the Albany Kennel Club & the Troy Kennel Club, Buena NJ will greet the Gloucester County Kennel Club & the South Jersey Kennel Club, and Cumberland MD will be the site for the Laurel Highlands Kennel Association & the Upper Potomac Valley Kennel Club three shows, all beginning on Friday.

Our lone two show venue is Lawton OK where the Lawton Dog Fanciers will do the traditional Saturday/Sunday stay.   We urge to take a few hours away from your normal stressful schedule and enjoy the beauty & excitement that an AKC dog show can provide.
