LAND O'LAKES KC DAY TWO

GCH CH Ta-Jon's Just Bee-Ing Silly

While the big white Poodle was going BIS in Palm Springs, a little white dog was going BIS in St Paul MN.  Dorothy MacDonald’s Best In Show at today’s Land O’Lakes Kennel Club show was the Maltese, GCH CH Ta-Jon's Just Bee-Ing Silly.  Joining Justine and owner/handler Tim Lehman in the final were yesterday’s BIS winner the Labrador Retriever, CH Kaltrav Caribbean Cruise JH, the Basset Hound, CH Fort Merrill Topsfield Yahoo, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastle‘s Friar Tuck, the Cairn, GCH CH Maverston Double Dutch, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Barnstorm’s Grissom TTCSI, and the Australian Cattle Dog, CH Hillhaven Journey The Rapids PT.  With a win earlier this week at the Northstar Toy Dog Club show and a Group One yesterday, Justine has assured herself an early berth in the Top Ten Dogs All Breeds.

PALM SPRINGS KC DAY TWO

We had expected that the long weekend in the California desert would give us a clear indication which dogs might be the leaders for the Number One Dog of 2011.  While we have several names on our list, we are pleased to say that once again we have a great crop of dogs to entertain us this year.  Jon Cole’s final at today’s Palm Springs Kennel Club show in Indio CA featured the English Setter, GCH CH Oakley's B'Dazzled, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Cammcastle’s Kore Elements, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Highwayman,  the Silky Terrier, GCH CH Snow Flen’s Tesorio Cover Story, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgil, CH Mariel's Harvest Moon.

BIS was the big Poodle, Ally.  Ally burst on the scene in April of 2010 in spectacular fashion, winning the Poodle Club of America’s National Specialty from the classes.  She went on to win 18 all breed BIS and 39 Non-Sporting Groups in limited showing, rarely getting far from her Pacific Northwest home.  We hope that she gets out and about this season so more fanciers can see this beautiful girl.  Congratulations to breeders L'Dyne Wicker Brennan &Debra Ferguson Jones, owners Toni & Martin Sosnoff, and handler  Tim Brazier.

RUBBER CITY KENNEL CLUB DAY TWO

GCH CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands

It was déjà vu all over again in Tallmadge OH where the Rubber City Kennel Club held it’s day two show, and Day One BIS winner, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands, picked up the BACK2BACK BIS.  Joining Tawny in Dana Cline’s final were the English Setter, GCH CH Kaska’s Capture The Moment, the Siberian, GCH CH Kontoki’s A Bend In The Road, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Castle Rock's SBigStaff Mad About You , the Toy Poodle, GCH CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Bulldog, GCH CH Kepley‘s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Segni At Coventry.  That makes Tawny’s weekend haul over 2000 points, sure to make her an early contender for our Top Ten Dogs All Breeds.

JACKSONVILLE DOG FANCIERS

GCH CH Ivoss Rotly Crew V Caloosa Ranch CD

With our temperatures plummeting toward the teens, we have little sympathy for fanciers in Ormond Beach FL complaining of the 50-ish temperatures at today’s Jacksonville Dog Fanciers' Association show.  Judge Pete Dawkins gathered up the Weimaraner, GCH CH Silhouette’s LifeInTheFastLane,  the Smooth Dachshund, CH Brownwood’s D’Geno Rock SS, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Ivoss Rotly Crew V Caloosa Ranch CD, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Italian Greyhound, GCH CH Bo-Bett’s Open Button, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintreee Mister Baggins.

BIS was the Rott, Crew, his, first.  Congratulations to breeder Diane Voss DVM, owners Deb Listander and Blase Pfefferkorn, and handler Jeff Brucker.

CLEMSON KENNEL CLUB DAY TWO

CH Ta Sen Bond James Bond

BIS judge Randy Garren had several new faces at the day two show of the Clemson Kennel Club in Pendleton SC.  They were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Northwoods Send Money Honey, the Whippet, GCH CH Snowhill Onyx At Stoneledge SC, the Boxer, CH Carillon MVP, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Tuscaroran Champ Luna, the Yorkshire Terrier, Tophat That’s Amore, the Lhasa Apso, CH Ta Sen Bond James Bond, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus.  His Best was the Lhasa, James.  James has recently returned to the US from Australia where he was the Top Non-sporting Dog of 2010.  Seems like more and more of our show dogs have passports these days.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Susan Giles and owner Mary Vaden.

PALM SPRINGS KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari
