REGION THREE RECAP PART TWO

There were two four day clusters in Region Three, the Great Lakes Region. We have reported on New Castle PA through out the weekend. However, now we can give you Monday’s results.

Viszla, CH Artisan Grouse Point Pink Panther

Yesterday the host club was the New Castle Kennel Club, the judge was Lisa Warren, and the finalists were Viszla, CH Artisan Grouse Point Pink Panther, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, the Standard Schnauzer, CH Cortaillod Quinta Do Portal, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Bluebeard's Suddenly Bridey, the Pekingese, CH Linn Lee's For The Good Times, the French Bulldog, CH Raindrops Justus Life A Game, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Suntera City Life/

BIS went to the Viszla, Kato, the first for his breed this year. Congratulations to breeders Mark & Joan Toepke, and owners Corinne Miklos, Sue Lonabaugh & Joan Toepke.

There was also a four day stand in Kalamazoo MI. We did tell you that the country’s number one dog, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, spent the weekend in Kalamazoo and garner BIS on Friday and Sunday.

CH Ripsnorter Mt View Lookout

The other finalists on Friday at the Holland Michigan Kennel Club were the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter Mt View Lookout, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena Carte Blanche, the Siberian Husky, CH Kivalina’s Redbud, the Pomeranian, Bravo’s Traveling In Style, the Lhasa Apso, CH Northwind Nothing But Trouble, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Skyline’s Walk The Line.

CH Bullstock’s Heavy Equipment

Saturday, the host club was the Grand Rapids Kennel Club, the judge was Arley Hussin, and the other finalists were the GWP, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Adili’s American Idol, the Bullmastiff, CH Bullstock’s Heavy Equipment, the Pomeranian, the Chow Chow, CH D-Jin Gang Of Anna Kennel, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Neahm’s Kiss Me Kate. BIS went to the Bullmastiff, Dozer, the first for a Bullmastiff this year. Congratulations to breeders/owners Ian & Christine Robertson.

CH Adili’s American Idol

Sunday, the judge was Edd Bivin, the club was the Kalamazoo Kennel Club, and Sadie’s dance partners were the GWP, the Ridgeback, the Potuguese Water Dog, CH Timber Oaks Music Man, the Pom, the Chow, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Quiche’s Demetrius.

CH Bessdachs Drisheen Hot Shot

Monday it was the Greater Muskegon Kennel Club, Dr Eric Liebes, and the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Exl’s Leather N Lace, the Smooth Dachshund, CH Bessdachs Drisheen Hot Shot, the Newfoundland, CH Fairweather’s Keepsake At Darbydale, the Scottie, Sadie, the Pom, the Chow, and the Shletie. BIS was the two year old Dachshund from Canada. Congratulations to breeders Marina Renee Lara DVM & Betty Jeffery, and owner Patricia Kearney.

REGION THREE RECAP PART ONE

We start in Region Three, the Great Lakes Region, just up the road from Harriman TN in Hamilton Ohio where the Cincinnati Kennel Club had a two day stand.

CH Ab-Rafiki The Icon Of Cool

On Sunday judge Rick Gschwender went over the English Springer Spaniel, CH Crossroad Crown Royal Miracle, the Basenji, CH Ab-Rafiki The Icon Of Cool, the Boxer, CH Sharledar's Crown Jewel, the Border Terrier, CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Havanese, CH Harbor's It Had To Be Me, the Standard Poodle, CH Bar-None Dawin Travelin' Man, the Briard, CH Deja Vu Mia Chain Of Fools. It was BIS number three this year for the country’s number one Basenji, Blade.

CH Palisades Silhouette

Monday, Blade was back with the Border Terrier, the Havanese, the Standard Poodle, and the Briard. Also in judge David Gleaves’ ring were the English Setter, CH Palisades Silhouette, and the Giant Schnauzer, CH Skansan's Sir August Brigs. BIS belonged to the English Setter, Lilly. Bred by Dean & Sandy Mille, Cheryl Heithaus & Brenda Fischer, owned by Brenda, Judy Mayr, & C Kopfstein, and handled by Amy Duncan, Lilly is the top English Setter bitch. With this win, she will be pushing the boys.

REGION TWO RECAP

We did give you complete details on the Hampton VA shows, but we had one more site in Region Two, the Southeast Region, to report on.

CH Of Afrikka Springvalley Dorian Gray

In Harriman TN, the Oak Ridge Kennel Club fielded a pair of shows. On Saturday June Penta was the judge and her finalists were the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Pointsetter Steal The Thunder, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Of Afrikka Springvalley Dorian Gray, the Boxer, CH Sabos Majestic Provocation, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Mac-Ken-Char Here I Am, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, the Miniature Poodle, Aerys Absolute Mayhemm At Silde, and the Briard, CH Deja Vu Up Close & Personal. BIS went to the Ridgeback, Dorian, a multiple BIS winner and the country’s number four Hound.

Sunday, Dorian, the Peke, and the Briard were all back to see judge Stephen Hurt. The remaining finalists were the Flat-Coated Retriever, CH Glenwans Sidney On Lanier, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Bernherrs Storm Surge V Ayehli, the Wire Fox Terrier, Aljamar Dealin With The Devil, and the Bulldog, Avalon Patch Adams. BIS went to the Country’s number one Peke. This impressive girl was one of the great American dogs to take a breed win at this year’s Crufts Dog show in England.

REGION ONE RECAP

We have a lot of ground to cover here, so let’s stay focused. We will recap the long weekend in our usual geographic manner, traveling east west.

CH Soonipi Dncin In The Moonlite MLH

Up in Region One, the Northeast Region, we had a four day stand in Freehold NJ starting on Friday with the Staten Island Kennel Club. You may recall that we told you that judge Anne Bolus’ BIS winner was th Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton. CJ’ dance partners in the final ring were the English Setter, Fanchon Samara Rusty Opal Musetta, the Bloodhound, CH Soonipi Dncin In The Moonlite MLH, the Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe's Merci Pour Le Poivre, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro's Soldier Boy, the Shiba Inu, Banshou Go Ryuukyuu Uruma, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi , CH Riverside Wicked Wonderful.

CH XO EZ JC

Saturday the show was the Monmouth Kennel Club, the judge was Leonor Riddle, and the BIS winner was the Sealyham, Merci. Also making the final were the English Springer Spaniel, Cerise Tender Is The Night, the Pharaoh Hound, CH XO EZ JC, the Doberman, CJ, the MinPin, the Schipperke, CH Delamer Point Blank, and the Rough Collie, Overland Allstar.

Sunday, the Dobie, CJ, went BIS under Dr John Reeve Newson at the Plainfield Kennel Club. Also on hand were the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught RedHanded, the Basenji, CH WAkli Signet Dooney, the Norwich Terrier, CH Havis's Red Baron Of Fly'n High, the Pug, Norkus Risky Business, the Standard Poodle, CH Unique Anticipation, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkein Raintree Mister Baggins.

CH Kimro's Soldier Boy

The closed out the weekend in New Jersey with Dr Klaus Anselm choosing the Sealyham, Merci, as his BIS while the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Jesse James, the Saluki, CH Cat Tales Cat Mandu, the Doberman, CJ, the MinPin, the Bulldog, CH Bellarosa Canina Of Sweetbrier, and the aforementioned Corgi watched.

ANOTHER TWOFER

I know we’re kind of late, but , hey, you guys on the west coast might still be up. We have results from the Coeur D'alene Dog Fanciers show today held in that Idaho city.

Today’s judge was Paula Hartinger and she greeted Saturday’s BIS winer, the Golden Retriever, CH Rush Hill RiverRoad Payoff, the Black and Tan Coonhound, CH Silver Ridge Showtyme at Windbourne, Sunday’s BIS winner the Doberman Pinscher, CH Perfex Cyclone Mahina, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Boardwalk's Bling Bling, the Pomeranian, CH Oakrose High N Mighty, the American Eskimo Dog, CH SilverOaks First & Foremost, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Braeleen Foreign Intrigue.

And who says lightning does strike the same place twice? Breeder/owner/handler Tonya Struble, and the Golden, Vegas, hit the jackpot again with their second BIS this weekend. Bravo!

MERCI POUR LES DEUX


The Union County Kennel Club closed the four day stand in Freehold NJ with Dr Klaus Anselm in the BIS ring. His Best In Show was the Sealyham, CH Efbe’s Merci Pour Le Poivre. It was Merci’s second BIS of the weekend and his third in the last ten days. Do we sense a little momentum going here?

CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams

We can now tell you that the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams, has won another BIS in Bloomington IL at the Corn Belt Kennel Club. Now don’t get confused. The Corn Belt KC had two shows in Bloomington, one on Saturday and one today. Conrad won both of them. Today’s win was under Mrs. Robert Forsyth. You did remember that Conrad is the country’s number one Herding Dog?

Sari Brewster Tietjen collected the Labrador, CH Casbar’s Hart To Hart, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, the Standard Poodle, CH Alaman Worth Every Penny, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Australian Terrier, CH Merrigang’s Wid N Crazy Guy, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Standard Poodle, CH , and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Brimar’s Always Mandrake HT.

So far in Hampton, we’ve had BIS by the Boxer, Scarlett, the GSD, Rhea, and the Toy Poodle, Walker. Today it was the Labrador Retriever, CH Casbar’s Hart To Hart, RJ. Four shows, four different winners from four different groups. Tha’s a Dog Show Happy Meal. Our congratulations to RJ and his breeder, Debra Mahoney, his owner, Diane Ammerman, and his handler, Joy Quallenberg.

Judge Keke Kahn’s final lineup included Saturday’s BIS winner, the Golden Retriever, CH Rush Hill River Road Payoff , the Black and Tan Coonhound, CH Silver Ridge Showtyme at Windbourne, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Perfex Cyclone Mahina, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfo’x Sneaks a Peek, the Pekingese, CH Dunkirk Eye Candy, the American Eskimo Dog, CH Silveroaks First & Foremost, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Vonhamm Bedkar Leathern Lace.

Her BIS was the two year old Dobie bitch. “Mimi” is a half sister to the country’s number two all breed dog, CH Allure Blazin Star Alisaton. Congratulations to breeder/owner Michelle Perfect, co-owners the Barons (Nicole, David ,Robert & Estelle) and handler Andy Linton.
