We go to New England for our next report where last week one dog, the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy Of Merivern, had a spectacular long weekend in Wrentham MA.  Galaxy took three of the four BIS offered by the Wampanoag Kennel Club and the Hockamock Kennel Club.

GCH CH Joval Angel’s Whisper

The WKC had the opener on Thursday and they put Charles Foley in the final ring with the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Blackstone Very Vassar, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Great Pyrenees, CH Guardenia's Splish Splash, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Joval Angel’s Whisper, the Pug, GCH CH Foursquare I'll Be A Shostopa Tu, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Canal-Side's Imperator, and the GSD, Galaxy.  Galaxy would get his first big rosette of the set and the Airedale, Wispa, would pick up the reserve ribbon.

GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire

Friday judge Levi Marsman would choose Galaxy and the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire, as his BIS and RBIS.  Also pleading their case were the abovenamed Foxhound, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Carry-On Merchant Man of Ravenswood, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Brussels Griffon, Seagryph's Cuba Libre, and the Standard Poodle, CH Ale Kai Hillwood Celebration.

Dorothy Taylor would have the judge’s book on Saturday and the now familiar IWS, Foxhound, Lakeland, Standard Poodle, & GSD, the Boxer, GCH CH Draco Greets Dassin With Fourbears, and the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Kimro N Spiva's Super Trooper, to choose from.  She chose the Lakeland, Spot, and the Poodle as her Best and Reserve.  Spot is AKC’s Number One Lakeland Terrier, and Number Seven Terrier with three BIS and 26 Terrier groups.

GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box

Dr Gareth Morgan-Jones would see one new face, the Newfoundland, CH Kodiak Acre's Bowater Dark Shadows, and the returning IWS, the Foxhound, Lakeland, MinPin, Dalmatian, and GSD.  Galaxy would pick up his third BIS of the stop and the Foxhound, Jewel, would collect the RBIS.  Galaxy is the Number One German Shepherd Dog and Number Six Herding Dog with seven BIS and 29 Herding Groups.
GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse

This weekend the action is in West Springfield MA.  It all started on Wednesday with the Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club’s day one show.  The seven that made it to Pat Hasting’s final were the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Sandscape Pardon Me Boys, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding v Sole Bay, the above named Griff, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH PaRay Preferential.

Best went to the PWD, Matisse, and Reserve to the Sheltie, Satoshi.  It would be the first of four consecutive BIS this week for Matisse.

GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing

On the 4th Matisse would be choice for the Holyoke Kennel Club’s BIS over judge Tom Hale’s  RBIS, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing, the same Field Spaniel, the Borzoi, GCH CH Greyhaven This Rough Magic JC SC, the Lakeland, Spot, the returning Bichon, Honor, and the GSD, Galaxy.

At Friday’s  Kenilworth Kennel Club Of Connecticut it was the Irish Water Spaniel, Riley, who was Reserve to Matisse.  Also trying to persuade judge Judy Webb were the same Afghan, Schnauzer, GSD, Shih Tzu, and the American Eskimo Dog, GCH CH  Nuuktok’s Atka Inukshuk.

GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir

Matisse would collect his fourth BIS of the set at Saturday’s Farmington Valley Kennel Club show under judge Dr John Ioia.  Saturday’s Reserve was the now familiar Afghan, Ryder.  Also hoping for consideration were the IWS, Riley, the Lakeland, Spot, the Shih Tzu, Willie, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Ale Kai Hillwood Celebration, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Karizma’s Ike of Edale.  The wins give the Number Two Dog All Breeds 41 BIS this year.

Larry Berg had the final at the closer, the Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club’s second show.  Five of the seven that stayed to the end were previous finalists, the IWS, Riley, the Borzoi, Aidan, the Portie, Matisse, the Lakeland, Spot, and newcomers, the Pug, GCH CH Foursquare I'll Be A Shostopa Tu, the Standard Poodle, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Chateau Blanc’s I’m Coyote Trouble.  Riley now has five BIS.
