LOST COAST KC OF CA

GCH CH Clussexx Collaboration with Traddles

The Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Collaboration with Traddles,  took the last day of the Montana Marathon and then moved on to the northern California town of Ferndale for the three shows hosted by the Lost Coast Kennel Club Of California.  For those who think of California as the giant parking lot that is southern California’s freeways Ferndale is a revelation.  Ferndale, a pretty little Victorian town, that is indeed on the lost coast of California, more reminiscent of Murder She Wrote’s Cabot Cove than Los Angeles.

Seymour and handler Jorge Olivera would take two of the three BIS of the stop.  On Friday  Vincent Mulligan would consider Seymour, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Farao Anubis Inferno SC, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Britestars Jaimeson Whiskey, the Parson Russell Terrier, GCH CH Dream Hi's Lil' Super Dude, the Toy Fox Terrier, GCH CH Adamant Bang A Drum, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Penndragon Owain, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Kokopelli's SoBe It.

Judge Mulligan chose the Pharaoh Hound as his Best and the Parsons as his Reserve.  It’s the first for the two year old Pharaoh Hound in four final attempts this year.  Congratulations to breeder Maria Westman, owners Debbie Cooper & Barth Clooten, and handler Laura Reeves.

The rest of the stop belonged to Seymour, the Clumber.  Seymour and his kennelmate, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, were Ken Buxton’s top two on day two.  Also trying to get judge Buxton’s attention were the Samoyed, GCH CH Glacier's Goddess of Fire, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Pug, GCH CH Winsome-Nirvana-Blaque Triple Play, the Keeshond, GCH CH Summerwind's Rumor Has It, and the Beauceron, GCH CH De Joie Du Chateau Rocher.

Five of Saturday’s finalists would be back on Sunday to see BIS judge Judy Webb.  Joining them were the above named Siberian Husky and the Maltese, GCH CH Richelieu Valentino.  However, judge Webb would see it the same way as judge Buxton, placing Seymour and Chet one/two.  The two wins brings Seymour’s 2013 take to nine BIS and 44 Sporting groups.
