MAURY COUNTY KC OF TENNESSEE

GCH CH Phillmar Superman 

The tony town of Franklin TN hosted the Maury County Kennel Club of Tennessee’s two shows this past weekend. The seven dogs that made it to judge Claudia Seaberg final were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill, the 15” Beagle, CH Encore Caught Up In A Dream, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Phillmar Superman, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Hampton Court Broxden A New Leash On Life, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Hilltops GQ Cover Boy, the Keeshond, GCH CH Ashbrook’s Easy Rider, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Shoreland’s Only An Illusion. 

GCH CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill 

The two that walked away with awards were the BIS, the Doberman, Steel, and the RBIS, the Cocker, Alan, It was the BIS in ten final appearances this year for Steel. Congratulations to breeder/owner Cheryl Green, co-breeder Phillip Martin, owners Tim Stone & Jaron Stone, and handler Cynthia T Lane-Smith. 

GCH CH Mojo’s Continuation Of A Myth 

Sunday judge William Usherwood would see an all new seven, the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Ehrenvogel Achy Breaky Heart, the Whippet, CH Cottonwood Chapeau At Coreymore, the Akita, GCH CH Mojo’s Continuation Of A Myth, the Miniature Schnauzer, Axcium’s Sherlock Holmes, the Papillon, GCH CH Fenice Le Beaudreaux, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Shilo-Gracele Tennessee Tu Step, and the Belgian Tervuren, Sindarin’s Sirius Redeemer Myth No More RN CAA CGC.

His BIS was the Akita, Nik, and his RBIS was the Papillon, Beau. It was the second BIS in 13 trips to the final ring this year for Nik and handler Beep Lee.

BACK TO WEST VIRGINIA

GCH CH Ironwood’s Paparrazi 

Too often these past two years, we have penned too many posts from hospital waiting rooms. This week’s reports will be a little slower than usual as we split our time between keyboards and concerned family members. 

GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It 

When we last visited Morgantown WV we told you that the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Blindside, was judge Beth Speich’s BIS at Friday’s Mountaineer Kennel Club show. Judge Luis Sosa took over the final ring at Saturday’s South Hills Kennel Club show, choosing his top two from the aforementioned Springer, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner’s International S’Cess, the Neapolitan Mastiff, GCH CH Ironwood’s Papparrazi, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Lamz Strike A Pose RN CAA CGC, the Pekingese, GCH CH Pequest General Tso, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Merry Go Round Coach Master, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It. 

 He chose the Neapolitan, Papparrazi, as his Best and the GSD, Rumor, as his Reserve. It was the first BIS by a Neapolitan Mastiff this year. Papparrazi is one of only two Neapolitan Mastiffs to win an al breed BIS. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler James Deppen, co-breeder Mimi Winkler, and owner Susan Vann-Spruill. 

GCH CH Cerise Blindside 

At Sunday’s Mountaineer Kennel Club closer judge Jon Cole would see the returning Springer, Peke, & GSD, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Sanjaya, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Winter Parks Look Sharp Live Smart, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Whiskybae Lochraven Lollypop, and the French Bulldog, GCH CH Iacta Alea Est De La Bete. He would name the Springer, Timmy, his BIS and the GSD Rumor, his RBIS. 

The win brings Timmy’s 2015 record to five BIS and 16 Sporting Groups.

THREE DAYS IN DELAWARE

GCH CH Ne Orageux’s Flash Point 

The Wilmington Kennel Club and the Penn Treaty Kennel Club teamed up for three shows this weekend in Bear DE. The WKC opened the set on Friday and asked judge Dorothy Collier to choose a BIS and RBIS. Her seven hopefuls were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Mar-K’s Sunrise At Midnight, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless, the Samoyed, GCH CH Pebbles' Run Play It Again Ham, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Absolutely Signature, the Papillon, GCH CH Lacros Sweet Talking Guy @ Way to Go, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotted Bliss Oreo Delight, and the Briard, GCH CH Ne Orageux’s Flash Point. 

GCH CH Mar-K’s Sunrise At Midnight 
 
Best went to the Briard, Sparkles, and Reserve to the Cocker, Noah. It was the first of the year for Sparkles who had two BIS and 12 Herding Groups last year. Congratulations to breeders Angela Dale, Dale Linder, & R Weber, owners Merry Jeanne Millner & Tommy Millner, and handler Joan Scott.

At Saturday’s WKC encore, the Papillon, Star Signs I Hope You Dance at Flolin, and the Bulldog, GCH CH Imperious Hamitup Southern Belle, joined Sparkles, Noah, and the returning Whippet, Samoyed, & Smooth Fox in judge Thomas Bradley’s final. The Smooth Fox, Bradley, roped away with the BIS and the Cocker, Noah, picked up his second RBIS.   It was the second of the year for Bradley and Dana Gabel.

GCH CH Imperious Hamitup Southern Belle 

 Judge Lisa Warren would see the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Legacy Random Titleist, the returning Whippet, Brazen, the above named Samoyed, Bogey, the Smooth Fox, Bradley, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Touche’s snapdragon, the aforementioned Bulldog, Annabelle, and the Puli, GCH CH Wallbanger Fringe. 

GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless 

Taking home the set’s last big rosette was Annabelle, the Bulldog. Packing up the reserve ribbon was the Whippet, Brazen. It’s the first of the year for Annabelle. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Jean Hetherington, breeders/owners Imperious Kennels & Hamitup Kennels, and owners Ellen Charles and Heatherbull Kennels.

SOUTH COUNTY KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Blondheim’s Easy Matters 

 A family wedding weekend has kept us away from the keyboard for the past three days, but we are back with all of the weekend’s results. We start in Richmond RI where the South county Kennel Club was set up for two days. Judge Robert Ennis had the Saturday final and his pick of the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Blondheim’s Easy Matters, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Hallam’s Jake of Arolet, the Boxer, GCH CH Brisbane “N” Blue Mondays Diamonds Are Decadent, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Foxhaus Skyfall at Foxhollow, the Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Sanchi Pleasant Surprise, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Chowlamar’s Rebelrun Mr Kidd, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s My Turn.

Taking day one’s BIS was the Cocker, Matt, while the Wire Fox, Shamus, picked up the RBIS. It was the first BIS this year for Matt and the only BIS by an ASCOB Cocker this year. Congratulations to breeders/owners Sherry J Blondheim & Barry Blondheim and handler Lisa Arnett. 

GCH CH Chowlamar’s Rebelrun Mr Kidd 

On Sunday BIS judge would see five of Saturday’s finalists and the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Hobarra’s I Dreamed A Dream, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Ciera Homebrewed Born Free. His Best was the Chow, Billy, and his Reserve the Cocker, Matt. It was the first BIS ever for Billy and owner/handler Sharon Raposo. Billy is one of only two Chows to win a BIS this year. Congratulations to Sharon, breeder/owner Roy Bailey, co-breeder Robert Banghart, and owner Tony Raposo.
