WIRE FOX HAT TRICK IN NY



GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky 

The Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, continued her all out assault on the Top Three Dogs All Breeds with her third consecutive BIS in Romulus NY.  Today’s host was the Elmira Kennel Club and today’s BIS judge was Jim Reynolds.  Judge Reynolds would choose as her RBIS the country’s Number Two Dog, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova.

Also in the final mix were the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CCH Foxcliffe Enchanted Evening, the Akita, GCH CH Hikay’s Witch with Attitude, the Pekingese, GCH CH Yakee’s Easily Persuaded, the Schipperke, CH De Lamers Sea Ya At The Top, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Signature's Philip Marlow V Kridler.   

The Wire, Sky, started the weekend 9500 points behind the Number Three Dog, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Veni Vidi Vici.  She is now less than 7000 points behind.  Can she catch the Doberman, FiFi, or even the Top Two?  We will be the first to tell you when the standings change.

Dr Klaus Anselm had the final at the day two show of the Warrenton Kennel Club in Millwood VA.  The seven trying to get his attention were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summit’s Emery It’s In The Bag, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kerry’s Pandora’s Box, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Painted Mtn Oliver Twist Of Fate, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker’s Rumpus Bumpus.

The Foxhound, Jewel, followed yesterday’s BIS performance with a RBIS today.  Today’s BIS was the Puli, Ziggy.  Ziggy is the nation’s Number One Puli and the Number Seven Herding Dog, with five BIS and 37 Herding Groups.

CH Yup’s Malibu Dream 

We start this evening’s reports with results from the Jacksonville Dog Fanciers' Association show in Ocala FL.  Christine Calcinari chose her Reserve and Best In Show from the Flat-Coated Retriever, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Criston’s Enchanted, the Newfoundland, GCH CH BigDogFarm’s Intenso Azzurro, the Skye Terrier, CH Of Skyeline Captain Hook, the Havanese, CH Yup’s Malibu Dream, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Bandog Bayou’s The Warrior, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bagatelle Moonlit River.

Taking home the RBIS was the Frenchie, Griffin, while the BIS went to the first timer, the Havanese, Kenny.  It is the first BIS for Kenny who is just 14 months old.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler David Stout and co-breeder/owner  Janet Birdsall.

HEART OF THE PLAINS KC DAY ONE

Robert Boothe was in Lubbock TX today to call the final for the Heart of the Plains Kennel Club.  His seven options were the Vizsla, GCH CH Regal Point Pinnacle Of Kilauea JH, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style, the Colored Bull Terrier, GCH CH Glentom's You Were Mint For Me, the Toy Poodle, Dalin Dreamy, the Finnish Spitz, GCH CH Pikkinokka Badgr Sir Barksalot, and the Puli, Hamzabegi-Cimboram.

Finishing one/two were the Boxer, Macey, and the Harrier, Chet.  Macey is having a banner year with 13 BIS, good enough to make her the Number Five Working Dog.

SUFFOLK KENNEL CLUB 1

While the north shore of Long Island in Suffolk County NY is some of the most exclusive real estate in the US, it is not true that exhibitors had to get a blood test to show at the  Flowerfield Fairgrounds in St James NY, the site of today’s Suffolk County Kennel Club.

The seven dogs with the pedigrees to reach William deVillenueve’s final were the Flat-Coated Retriever, GCH CH Beachcliff’s Hello Mr. Sam, the Borzoi, DC Carousel’s High Five SC BN, the Boxer, GCH CH Draco Greets Dassin With Fourbears, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me A Spot, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Piccadil's Twist And Shout, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Salishan's My Special Angel, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Sporting Fields Heiress HSAS.  

 The Two that impressed her were the Reserve, the Boxer, and the Best In Show, the Lakeland, Spot.  Spot, the US’ Number Two Terrier,  has been one of the most consistent of his group this year with 15 BIS and 58 Terrier Groups.
